For the life of me, I’ll never understand why Mullen didn’t play Trask sooner. Franks is such an immature wildcard. I get it if you don’t have immense talent at the skill positions because maybe Franks makes something happen while improvising but that’s not Florida. Meanwhile, Georgia is kind of in the opposite situation where they need to let Fromm improvise a little. We don’t have receivers who can run crisp routes; we have incredible athletes who just need to get the ball in space however that may happen.

It is play calling, but I think it's Kirby too it seems. Fromm is a good QB..but it's like he is so scared to make a mistake that he won't throw receivers open and let them make plays for you guys. I remember when Driskel left UF and said "we played to not lose, or played to make sure the defense had good field position for most of the game". Muschamp was so scared to make a mistake on offense he limited a very good QB's ability. Can see the same thing happening with Fromm at Georgia.

Book has 100 yards more passing than Trask despite playing 2 more games.

Trask has a better completion percentage, rating, yards per attempt, and QBR than Book.

While playing better competition.

I think that’s what we are all witnessing right now. Difference is that I think Kirby has much better offensive talent than Muschamp ever had while at Florida so there’s hope he can find a way to make it work. But it’s certainly concerning at this juncture.

Oddly I think what made 2017 work was Kirby had no choice but to let Fromm take risks in the passing game and it paid off. The other thing is that UGA has 0 punt return game this year whereas Hardman was a threat to house it or at least gain 15-20 yards in field position the past 2 years. Conservative playcalling is much more effective starting from your 45 than your 15.

Not my point. I think if you put Book on Floridas team he would be as good or better than Trask with the talent and offensive system around him. I think Book is a more gifted athlete and QB. But Trask is doing exactly what he needs to do, making smart throws to the talent around him. So yeah, his stats are as good or better; his team is better in large part because his efficiency makes them better. He’s exactly what Florida needed Franks to be. Florida is currently experiencing its own sort of 2017 UGA phenomenon with Trask being a godsend, the way Fromm was in place of an injured Eason

Based on what? Book has looked like crap against almost every good defense he’s played

Edit: Saying Books is a more gifted athlete means what? So was Franks

Hope the right side of UFs DL and LB are ready. We started running off tackle behind Thomas and Kindley against Kentucky in the 2nd half and we were rolling. That'll be the key to the game IMO.

Then again maybe Coley will just run Swift up Trey Hills arse the entire game.
