Please list the last time beating Arkansas at the end of the year would have allowed LSU to jump Arky in the rankings*? I will hang up and listen.
So Lester can only get you guys fired up for teams ranked higher than you? Wow, that must suck...no wonder Bama is your Super Bowl.

I am loling at all the dawg fans in this thread hoping SC goes away in the near future. It's just another backdoor way of looking at things I suppose - dawg fans with a backdoor mentality.
BTW, when has SC ever had big time recruiting classes? Answer: Never. Rarely a Top Ten Class, it's just not how the ranking system works.
Here's another way of looking at all this talk about recruiting classes. I'n the past 13 years Georgia has averaged the highest rated class in the country overall, they've been very consistent - and with the same coach. While, at the same time SC has had Spurrier and Holtz and has managed only a #18 average ranking during the same span of time.
Yet, in the past 13 season, Georgia is only 7-6 verses the Gamecocks with the point difference during that frame of time being just a little over a single point.
Do recruiting rankings really matter? Yeah, sure they do, but not as much as some are claiming in this thread. It's more about coaching'em up.
Furthermore, when Spurrier does leave SC will hire another very capable coach. There is a legacy in place now, started by Holtz, built upon by Spurrier and it will be continued by the next guy. We've got the money, the facilities, and we've always had the fan support to attract another good coach and continue recruiting solid SEC caliber players.
So dream-on dawg fans - and thanks for the laugh.

A & M if they can maintain what they did. Unfortunately USCe is playing at their best, but going up against the likes of Bama and LSU from the West. USCe will be going on a downward trend in the next two to three years. Arky will always be on the outside looking in.

ATM is smoke in mirrors with a coach that runs up the score on shitty teams and will be exposed when they actually have a tough SEC schedule (playing the top teams back to back to back) and he has to recruit his own players.
You obviously haven't seen the recruiting class coming in, or realize that A&M played the toughest schedule in the SEC this year. Georgia sucks.

1. Beat Bama. Played LSU, Florida, and Bama. Keep up buddy. That is a tough schedule.
2. Check recruiting, please. He is upgrading our already solid recruiting. 2013 #1 player in Texas, RSJ, is an Ag. 2014 #1 player in Texas, Hoza Scott, is an Ag.

Since Bama won the SEC and we beat them, we're already claiming it for this year, so this question is invalid.

I don't see USCe ever winning a SEC Title. Spurrier can't do it, and he won't be around much longer. It's only a matter of time before USC is back to being shite.
Do you think you guys will beat us again before he leaves?
I don't.

Exactly, not sure if 20ozBulldog is a troll or just misinformed. A&Ms 2014 class will likely be top 3 in the country and the best in Aggie history. And this staff knows how to develop talent unlike Mack Brown and the sips.

It has to be A&M. USCe is close and may win one in the future, but A&M is the obvious choice. Arky and SEC title should never be mentioned in the same sentence.

The East is the weeker of the two divisions so I say SC wins one before Arky or A&M. I don't see either of them beating LSU and Bama in the same year.
Nearly happened in year one.

TAMU will win two SEC titles before Arky or USC wins their first.

quote:actually the east and west is about even, the west has a big 3 (bama, lsu,a&m) and the east has a big 3 (UF,uga, scar) the only difference is the west has a wildcard(arkansas)who could be good too and the east really don't have that, so that gives the west a slight edge but not enough to make it seem like comparing the AFC east vs the Sec east.
