quote:LSU was considerably better with more talent at most positions than the teams you have listed above. This enabled LF7 to rush for over 200 yards on three of these teams and over 150 yards on the other two. When talent on the teams LSU played against got better, then obviously 200 yard rushing games were harder to achieve. Do you realistically think that Fournette should have put up these kind of rushing numbers every week and against the best teams on LSU's schedule?
In boogers one and only great season, he go over 50% of his yards against the 128th and dead last rushing defense in Eastern Michigan, 127th in Texas Tech, 100th in USCe, 92nd in Syracuse, and WKU.

When over 50% of your yardage comes against the very worst rushing defenses it puts his one great season in a different perspective than the LSU narrative.

Same way with all the shitty defenses Hurts played this year that made him look better than he is.

quote:Ok I'll try this again. Miss St, Florida, Auburn and Ole Miss historically field good defensive units (Ole Miss not lately). In these games LF7 rushed for 163 yds, 193 yds, 228 yds and 120 yds respectively. I'm sure you would agree this is an excellent average. We all know he had even better rushing games in the 5 you listed as "worst rushing defenses.

The point here is that only leaves 2 remaining games on the 2015 schedule. LSU tanked as a team and Fournette had the worst games of his career. The LSU narrative has been on point the entire time and Bama fans defined Fournette's career based off a couple bad games.
