LSU had a great offense in 2013. No one said he had an absurd season. Poster implied LSU fans were basically wrong when they said Mettenberger would lead LSU to having a good offense. That was an ignorant statement on his part.

Too bad they didn't choose to play very well on Saturdays.

Because the NFL Draft is filled with players who don't play well on Saturdays.

He's the only starting QB of a team in SEC history to have a 3,000 yd passer, two 1,000 yd receivers, and a 1,000 yard rusher. That's pretty good, especially for the offense LSU has put out the previous years. Not to mention all of those guys started on Sunday's last year as rookies.

Oh did LSU hire a coach who had to change a whole team's offensive system whose players were recruited to a totally opposite system? Interesting.

no they hired a bunch of coaches over the last 10 years that made LSU an NFL factory. Unfortunately for LSU in 2014, losing all those young guys finally caught up to them.

Oh Jesus Christ.

AJ McCarron now gets credit for Alabama's 1,000-yard rushers too?

LSU had a much better offense with Zach Mettenberger than they did with Jefferson/Lee? True or false?

and yes, Mettenberger keeping the defense honest in the secondary opened up holes in the running game for Hill.

No but you asked about an absurd season and I gave you absurd results. LSU QB's struggle to get 2,000 yds in a season and he eclipsed 3,000... I don't know what else youre looking for.

Again, I am not saying that Mett had a bad 2013. He was most certainly above average.

Mett finished 2013 with 22 TDs and 8 INTs.

Allen finished 2014 with 20 TDs and 5 INTs.

Jus' sayin'.
