Who will be the SEC's star next year?

It seems that every year a player surprisingly emerges to be way above other SEC players. It may have been known that he was good, but it wasn't known that he would distance himself from all other players. Last year it was Cam Newton, and the year before it was Mark Ingram. Who do you think that player will be in 2012?

Aaron Murray
Tyler Bray
Trent Richardson
Vick Ballard
LaDarius Perkins
Tyler Wilson
Spencer Ware
Those seem to be the candidates.

Gotta throw Lattimore in there. Veteran team returning around him.

Alshon Jeffrey has to be near the top of this list.
My AU homer answer must be Dyer by default. Although I think/hope that Trotter is going to really surprise some people who expect him to completely suck.

Dyer has some great talent. How the Oline gels and comes together will be his biggest obstacle.

He had about 13 per game last year. Figure around 20ish this year with more passing?

quote:Yeah, I think 20-25 touches for Dyer (running and receiving) and more passing attempts. Trotter will still run a good bit, but not nearly as much as Cam.

I worry about Dyer getting banged up though, because we essentially just have freshmen behind him.

Alshon Jeffrey is the best returning player in the SEC. Because he is a receiver and thus does not get the touches a QB or RB will get, he may not appear to be the SEC's star next season.

In answering my own question, I would have to say Trent Richardson.

Trent Richardson is a good bet. But don't forget about Courtney Upshaw. He's going to be a monster this year, barring another injury.

We don't have any candidates for star. We suck.
I'm hoping that Leon "Earthquake" Orr, Chris Martin and Gerald Christian shine on D.
On O, it's got to be Brantley.
