Wait remind me when Ole Miss won an SEC championship game or a National Championship game? You've never won anything that matters.

Although i suppose I’d try my best to act like it never happened if my team had gotten beat 21-0 in New Orleans, in the national championship game, against one of our biggest rivals.

Act like what never happened? 2003,2007,2019. Which one of those NC's didn't happen?

Facts are this. Ole Miss is what they are. They have a chance to have very good years here and there but their ceiling is just very good. Can't wait to watch Lane jump ship on you in a few years. I will enjoy it.

They are struggling bad currently but all it would take is a few good hires and they are back in business.
I don't even think the HC has to be a good hire. Mullen and Shark fricker had success and those guys weren't exactly the 2nd coming of Pop Warner.

But there needs to be 3 decent hires and the UAA has to unfrick itself.

And I feel like I am a RebelBearShark by saying this over and over, Keith Carter is a great AD. I'd have zero doubt he could find an extra ~$2M a year (so 22% more than what Kiffin is already making) to keep Lane in Oxford if the $11M/yr number is accurate.

I have no idea where his mother lives, but his father died in Oxford. Oxford is a great town for retirees. We act like Lane is loading up the minivan to take the family the beach house. That dude is flying in a private jet owned or leased by an Ole Miss booster.

His kids can go to any school they want to. His daughter transferred from Southern Cal to Ole Miss. I am assuming Lil Cutt might know a thing or two about QB development at Oxford High.

Layla’s dad didn’t just play at UF, he played under Spurrier on the Bandits and was an assistant coach at UF under Spurrier as well. That makes me think if Kiffin were ever an actual candidate for any level of coaching position at UF, he would have already had a coaching position at UF. Then there’s the bad blood between Kiffin/Meyer/Spurrier from when Kiffin was at Tennessee.

I don't think that would have anything to do with it.

Spurrier might seem petty, but he's a professional.

Florida last won a national championship during the BCS era. Florida is like middle aged beauty queen. She’s a beautiful woman, but her time in the spotlight is done and she doesn’t want to accept her time to shine is over.

This has already been addressed before but…..there isn’t one single coach in America making career decisions based upon where their ex-wife went to school. Even much less ex-FIL.

What's that make a program that has literally never won a championship game?

I just know what I read on here.

Someone said she is a Kappa at Ole Miss.

Not sure what the nick name for Kappas is at Ole Miss, but we called them Katcha Katcha Gonorrhea in Athens.

He has 2 daughters. 1 is a Fr volleyball player at USC. The other transferred to Oxford High School her Senior year and went to Ole Miss. I believe she is a Sophomore now.

The difference is tGrind knew its place in the world even after they were ranked 1st at one point in 2015. Ole Miss actually thinks they’re elite. Ole Miss will never be ranked as highly as their arch rivals once were and they’ll never win 3 national titles let alone 1 like LSU and UF have done over the last couple decades and it drives them crazy enough to do shite like pretend they won a division title 21 years ago. They’ll ride this high of a preseason ranking and beating up on the dregs of FCS until they inevitably crash back to earth because, well, they’re Ole Miss and Lane always crumbles when expectations set in. At least he won’t get shitcanned on a tarmac because again, they’re ole miss and being just good enough is good enough. Hope this helps.

Nah. Ole Miss is Leeds. We are in the middle of the Bielsa era. Our best is in front of us.

2017 - All State fans - "Mullen will never leave MSU for Florida, lateral move.

Stricklin was there. Some disgruntled fans may have said lateral move as a jab. Looks like it worked. But Mullen's lackadaisical behavior in the game against ole miss, we all had a feeling what was about to happen. Also at that time, Mississippi had the 4 year limit on contracts. Mullen made more in one contract guaranteed money than State was going to be able to offer. He was handed a 6 year guaranteed. Even if State matched the per year deal, Mullen was getting 12 million more off the bat.

Maybe an ole miss fan can correct me but the state doesn't have that anymore? Is, Lane's deal longer than that now?

4 year contract with the school. I think 3 years added on through the UMAA foundation. I don't know the legalese but they finagled it to 7 years I believe.

Have y’all forgotten who started that beef by asking if Lane was improperly recruiting before he got to Tennessee because he didn’t know a coach could take the recruiting test online?

That is what did him in at Florida too. From what I am reading, Mississippi still has a 4 year max on contracts.

I believe UF needs a Gator as a head coach. Someone invested and loyal to the program. Kerwin Bell has been successful everywhere he has been. He should be given the chance at UF. he would cost a lot less than Kiffin for sure and that extra money could be used to buy players.
