Bowden? Tuberville? Chizik? Malzahn?

All achieved varying levels of success.

If forced to choose, who would you rather have coaching your team? Personally I’d pick Tuberville

Tuberville and Gus both had some good arse teams. Chizik was bad and the 2010 team was a joke outside of Cam and Nick Fairley, which is a testament to how amazing those 2 were. I would give a slight edge to Tuberville over Gus.

The wheels came off awfully quick for Bowden. He was beloved one day and then fired the next.

Seems a little harsh. We had a solid offensive line, a five star running back, and a few guys that had good careers in the NFL on defense.

Who had a good career in the NFL on defense besides Fairley?

In fairness, couldn’t you say that about all of Auburn’s coaches since Dye?

Tuberville was the most consistent. We had solid teams from 2001-2007. Just didn’t live up to expectations a few years. Even 2008 is no where near as bad as the record indicates.

Gus caught fire a few times, but he made so many boneheaded decisions there’s no way you can call him a good coach.

Who was the last Auburn coach to retire on their own terms? Tuberville? Dye? Or were those both forced by the school?

Something like Jetgate never happened during the Bowden years.

My vote would go to Chizik because he won a national title at Auburn.....and, then was promptly dumped shortly thereafter.

Auburn is schizo.

Neiko Thorpe, Josh Bynes, and Corey Lemonier were NFL guys. 4/11 may not be a juggernaut group, but it’s certainly wrong to call the whole team a “joke.”

It's not like they were happy about the hire in the first place.

Tuberville. The Auburn “famlee” stabbed him in the back when Lowder and Housel flew to Kentucky in the middle of the night to meet with Petrino. He shoved it up their azzes by going undefeated the next season. I hated him for “Fear the Thumb” but dude was a ball coach.

Neiko Thorpe,

Never played a down in the NFL.
I'll give you the other two though since I was only looking at the 2010 Auburn starting 22.

Duhhhhhhhhhhh, Metro.....AU's coaches could've won 5 straight titles and they would find something to find fault with the coach and fire him before he could win six!
