What am I looking for in the picture? Or was there a different picture before the edit?

Since you left this gem, post-edit ....
quote:

What exactly did he do at A&M to be worthy of permanent memorialization on your stadium?

Apparently not enough, since he won't be permanently memorialized in said way.

But for the record: While at A&M, Bryant coached our only other Heisman winner, as well as the storied Junction Boys (which included another Aggie native son and future A&M head coach, Gene Stallings).

Relax.
While Bryant is certainly a memorable part of A&M's history, we aren't lobbying for the inclusion of his name on the stadium.

North is to the left. In the NW corner you'll see "Paul Bear Bryant" above the 3 arches. As others have mentioned, that was all preliminary when those renderings came out. I've no idea whose name will go there. I'd have no objection to Bear, but there are better choices. Jarrin' John Kimbrough would get my vote if I had one.

Do you know what school Bear's only Heisman winner played for?

I hate to point out the obvious, but you cared enough about Bryant's affiliation with Texas A&M to start a thread about it.
No one in College Station is trying to "one-up" Bryant's accomplishments in Aggieland over his cataclysmic success at Alabama.

Good grief ... it's an architectural rendering.
Not sure why you're being feisty about it--you're the one who asked the original question, "What exactly did he do at A&M?"

interesting since A&M integrated their football team before Alabama (1967 vs. 1970). Pretty sure that had nothing to do with him leaving A&M, as integrating in Alabama was going to be even tougher than in Texas - "mama called" and he went home.

I can't believe your trash arse thread hasn't been nuked yet.

But keep keeping it classy

Ah, there we go. I see it now. And as an outsider, I would agree -- if the Bear's name went on there, it would only be because he's legend in general, not because of any particular success at TAMU. It'd be like Boston College naming part of their stadium Frank Leahy because he coached there for a year before going to ND. The Aggies don't need to pander by using his name.
