Bear Bryant was not a homosexual and didn't really give a shite, like many limp-wristed auburn fans do, about what matches and what doesn't.

What we do know is that Shug Jordan used to beat his wife regularly and wouldn't allow her to be treated for her wounds in Alabama, instead sending her to Columbus whenever he whupped up on her head.
He didn't want to take a chance of it becoming known in Alabama.
