Also can't forget Adrian Karsten doing the sideline reporting. Just reminiscing about the past.
Franklin was as good as anyone since Keith Jackson. Still can't believe Karsten hung himself.

It really does.
I loved Jackson and Broyles growing up- then Franklin and Gottfried when they took over as the top crew. I despise the CBS crew and wish Danielson would die in a car wreck.

And Tuberville as well
Tuberville has to rank in the Top 10 of biggest country hick rednecks to ever work for ESPN.
Yes, I miss Ron Franklin. "He has 7, 10, count it off as 16 yards". Gottfried was, at times, incoherent in his "analysis"

Was at a BBQ restaurant one Friday night before a Saturday ESPN game in Athens. Adrian Karsten came it to pick up a to go order...we recognized him and he sat and ate with us.

Ron taken down by Holly Rowe sweetheart. I think he also called some other chick sweet cakes. Later let go.

Calling Jeannine Edwards (who was married to a producer at ESPN, I believe) an a-hole is what got RF fired.

frick Jeanine Edwards. I’ll forever hate her for getting Rob fired

The Holly Rowe thing got Franklin in hot water in 2005. In a 2011 production meeting before the Chik-fil-a bowl, he called Jeanine Edwards (below) sweet baby, and then called her an a-hole after she objected. He was fired two days later. Meanwhile, Jeanine Edwards went on to ... ?
The problem with sideline reporters is they have to invent ways to give them airtime. If the network wants to tell a "human interest" story about a player, they should do it in one of the pre-game shows, not in between fricking plays.
