Also can't forget Adrian Karsten doing the sideline reporting. Just reminiscing about the past.

Ron Franklin was awesome. I think the worse CFB announcer is either Pam Ward or Rod Gillmore

Yes. Those voices bring back great memories as a kid, on a fall Saturday night.

"Has 5, has 10, he'll walk it in"

"Has 5, has 10, he......will......score"

"Georgia, Tennessee 1995......is under way"

"Has it complete, it's Ronnie Daniels. Slips away."

"5 minutes......47 seconds to play in this 3rd quarter. We have a ballgame folks."

Probably the best thing Franklin did was let things breathe. Early in games, before big 3rd downs, late in games. He let the crowd and the field noise tell you what was happening.

I think at Bama we were more partial to Keith Jackson and Frank broyles. Abc, 2:30.

That was a long, long time ago, before the Gottfried/Franklin/Karsten era.

Ron and Mike is synonymous with SEC Sat night football for me. They were the team in my youth all the way through college. Being at the tailgate after an afternoon game listening to these guys while slowly getting way too drunk was just good times. Damn I miss those days.

Start things off with the Daves and end things with ESPN. Good times (well, except for our football team, but other than that).

IMO the very worst is Matt Millen. Sometimes I'm not even sure he's watching the game.

The worst is, and will always be, Andre Ware. His opinions are dumb, he's got a lot of them, and he won't shut up about them.

You have expressed the sentiments of so many SEC fans. They were tGOAT. Sad that a generation of SEC fans will grow up and not get to hear them call games.

IMO, RF was THE voice of the SEC.
