He didn't speak English, may not have even been American, but he was funny.
There was so much to work with concerning him. It was never ending.
Bring Oregon back.

Ed O was a gift to college football. He was a good coach, and won a natty. I can't believe LSU brass got rid of him for the puss they have now.

He was so bad that 2 SEC schools hired him as head coach. Smarter than you think.

I miss Ed. It was always fun to see if we could understand what he said when interviewed

LSU was wrong to fire Coach O. He may have ended up not being the greatest football coach in the world, but this walk-in below before beating Bama should have gotten him a lifetime contract. He was the perfect representation of LSU football, Brian Kelly couldn't be any worse of a cultural fit

I finished my Berlitz Orgeron tape last week. Just the basic words. Plus extra instruction on mumbling. I am now ready for my Advanced Orgeron lessons, which will allow me to be completely unintelligible when I speak to the press.

For as often as we dogged 'Shrimp boat captain' - he was the best motivating head 'cheer' coach, I can recall.
I miss him also - He knew how to bring out the best of Cajun blood and emotion to compete.

He took his $17M buyout & his blond bimbo of the mth down to Florida last we heard. For a Cajun from "down da bayou" that amount should last him 2 life times. As a player's coach, yea. As a football coach, not so much. Too many crazy stories from Oxford's to LSU's football facilities.

The conference used to have characters at the head coach position - Les, Orgeron, the OBC, even Nick as the cantankerous curmudgeon. The SEC is just not as colorful as it was used to be.
