Maybe. I didn’t really pay attention to much but the score.

A & M. In spite of their weird traditions, they're for the most part good folks.

Knowing Aggies if they lose it will be something Elko never comes back from. The hate for Texas runs too deep and all that is on the line for a trip to ATL and 12 yr wait for the game.

If they win a Jimbo sized extension will be on Elko’s desk by Sunday afternoon. They will get boat raced by UGA then have to fire Elko in three seasons.

You can fire a coach for underperforming with the resources they have. That doesn’t mean they’re rebuilding. Jimbo had everything he needed to win, he just didn’t do it. Elko has championship talent around him, it’s not a rebuild.

Who compiled high school rankings and then ranked all the current rosters in college football? Does it account for talent being across all positions or just add up ranking even if light in some key positions?

Regardless if just using high school rankings without factoring what players have actually accomplished at college you are relying on limited data to talk about how talented a roster currently is. A&M’s qbs would start at 3rd or maybe even 4th string at Texas.

A&M is rebuilding with a new staff all the way up to a new AD. It had to replace transfers and recruit with new staff.

I think the game and atmosphere will be emotional and electric, but outside of maybe briefly after the LSU game no one has thought A&M’s roster was back to wear it was after first couple of NIL recruiting classes (and recruiting rankings aren’t always correct). Talent versus talent should see Texas win fairly easily. There is more to games like this than the talent ranking of the individual players, and I am hoping that the initial emotions and electricity of restarting this series will push game into be a very competitive one and electric until the end. I would rather A&M win and think then upsetting Texas would be a bigger story and better for the SEC, but I still think Texas wins and am a little concerned it might be over quickly.

That’s the next game up for them.

What an ignorant take.

Moving on from a loss and focusing on next opponent is what teams and fans should do. That’s even before you add on being the first game against Texas in awhile.

The sadistic side of me wants Texas to win just to see what it does to the aTm psyche.

Are you equating an anonymous internet message board to being out in public?

That’s just how teams are evaluated in talent, by “Blue Chip” prospects.

That doesn’t mean it’s a rebuild. They changed staff. They are trying to change the culture, but that’s not an entire rebuild.
