You Mississippi schools would know the worst ones. Y'all have been playing 4D chess for years by exporting turrible AD's to everyone else.

Greg Byrne started at State and is a great AD

Tennessee
Doug Dickey is one of the best. Then Mike Hamilton took over it about destroyed Tennessee sports.

Yea, it's Yurachek. No doubt. He's days away from being fired.

However, the shine is off Greg Byrne at Bama. Wtf, did they give that extension to DeBoer?

Arkansas or Auburn. Football is the sport of the SEC, everything else is second.

Well, we haven't but maybe you are on to something with State. I failed to recognize the level of their game here.

Cohen sucked at State too, still have no idea what Auburn saw there.

Stricklin’s time at State was weird and he’s kinda responsible for the 2010’s collapse of State basketball, but he did a lot of good things for facilities and marketing at State. He was mostly well-like by State people until he hired Mullen away to UF.

Byrne is widely considered the best State athletic director ever. Only in charge for two years but basically brought our football and baseball programs back from the dead.

AMEN!
Hamilton was a fund raiser, not an AD. When fired from UT he became president of a fund raising company.

Hamilton had Gary Patterson in the bag as HC after Fulmer. Then he asked Patterson about fund raising. Patterson told him he would do what he could, but first and foremost, he was a football coach. WHICH IS WHAT HAMILTON WAS SUPPOSED TO HIRE...A COACH.

Brian Kelly wanted the job. Showed up for his interview wearing a UT Orange tie.

Enter Kiffin's lying bitch arse. Blew smoke up Hamilton's arse about fund raising. Everyone knows the rest. Hamilton hired him instead of an actual coach.

Then after Kiffin created a dumpster fire, Hamilton hired Derek Doofus to straighten it all out.

From this thread, it's pretty much this:

1. Yurachek
2. Cohen
3. Stricklin

seems right

Cohen I don’t know much about but sounds like he sucks from what people say

And Stricklin at least accidentally hired golden so he has that over the other two

If anything, Cohen tried to land Sumrall and couldn't. Stricklin was able to steal Sumrall.

still TBD if that turns out to be a good move or not.

I think Golesh and Sumrall are both promising coaches, time well tell if one is better than the other.

I agree with that but Golesh was Auburn's plan B. That's my point.

I follow you now
Yes that was a very rare instance when Swishy Scott didn’t get stuffed into a locker by another program’s AD
