Actually I'm pretty sure he's getting ready for his 14th consecutive NFL season

Ironic.

Another difference...sark has a record as HEAD COACH and it's utter mediocracy.
Oh so we just don't use context whatsoever anymore? Like the fact that he took over a Washington team that was 0-12 the season prior? Or the fact that he went 9-4 his first season at USC despite having to work with much less scholarships due to the school coming off of sanctions?
quote:

Why anyone would think he would magically become a great coach when there's a clear history just baffles my mind.
Good point. When Jim Harbaugh finished the 2020 season 2-4 after failing to win the B1G for the 6th season in a row, it was a total mistake not firing him, right?

Not everything is black and white. Just because you're a miserable longhorn that has battered fan syndrome doesn't mean the rest of us are doom and gloom and will willfully ignore anything positive in the program.

Should it be better? Sure. Should Sark have done better last year? Probably (albeit he did finish ahead of their preseason ranking, so it's not like expectations were tremendously high).

It's not my place to tell you to stop being miserable, so if you want to sulk throughout the entire upcoming season, be my guest

again..no point in arguing with you. You're the one who's going to be miserable when this oddly takes you by surprise. Move on. We aren't going to agree.

Guess I should just be miserable in advance like you then. Seems like a fun fandom

I used to stand on the sidelines at practice and think he’d never make it in the NFL. Lacked velocity on his throws. Boy, was I way wrong.

How many years have you guys been in the SEC without winning a conference title?

Not as many years as Texas' last Big 12 title.

LMAO another one! hahahaha

Again..for the (I can't even count) number of times. I was talking to the hog fan. Holy mother of god some people here clearly can't understand what they read. It's unbelievable.
....as I wait for the next one.

You... you do realize that a&m's' last conference championship occurred when they were in the Big 12... in the 1990s, right?

Holy self-own

The best part...I wasn't even referring to the aggies...which makes his response the most aggie thing ever.

What the heck does an LSU fan know about cattle? Shouldn't it be more like "all mudhole, no crawdad"

Hey, don't get on Colt like that! That is not what he is doing.

He is currently backing up Kyler Murray. Say what you will about him, but the dude has lasted in the league for over a decade. That's nothing to be ashamed of.

Colt was never going to be an NFL starter but is a class act who works his arse off. Career backup nfl quarterback. Can sure do a lot worse than that.

When Colt left college football, he had more wins than any QB at any level in the history of the sport. He also had the most accurate season of all-time. You thought a guy with this resume couldn't be a functional NFL player?

Thought he’d get a shot, but would have been on more of a Kellen Moore type trajectory.

Wish I could argue with you but I can't. Winning has a way of solving that problem. Sadly I don't think that's going to happen until after Sark is gone. I hope I'm wrong.
Most of the foreigners that make up the UTA student body simply don't care about football. It is truly an apathetic crowd in Austin, and the soccer team is infinitely more popular.

It's not quite the number you're suggesting. A lot of the student body doesn't care yes...but we have a huge number of rabid fans. Just look at the football revenue data. That suggests as much.

Most of those "fans" are from years ago, and are graduates. Nobody cares in Austin these days, which is more a statement of the city than the student body.

It’s a combination of factors. I would say our student base doesn’t care about American football like most southern schools. Getting into Austin is a nightmare and there’s not really many good places to tailgate.

Plus, there’s a lot more competing events around town in the fall. Formula One, ACL is now two weekends, etc.
