Depends on which team Bama decides to beat themselves against. either Auburn or A&M since LSU is their super bowl every year.

Next year, probably LSU. Return almost everything on offense (which obviously needs to improve from their zero point outing against Bama last year). Only Tennessee returns more from their 2017 production. Defense remains stacked, with replacements for the 3 big losses.

I'm going with Jimbo...

Jimbo is not a threat....
To beat Alabama you have to put speed in space
aggy had a better chance with Kevin Sumlin.
Clemson destroyed their secondary.
Pretty much what Hugh Freeze did.

In 2019? If any team can do it, it is LSU.
A&M will take a step back before taking two steps forward. They will be thin on both lines, and their schedule is brutal (they play the three best teams in the country in Clemson, Alabama, and Georgia). They also travel to LSU and LSU will be bent on revenge. Not a good scenario for Aggie -- they will likely lose four games (at least).
Auburn is straight up in decline, and they have been for a few years. Sure, they have a knack for beating Alabama -- anything could happen in the Iron Bowl. But they will manage to lose several winnable games and finish 4th or 5th in the West, as usual.
Meanwhile, LSU -- for once -- managed to bring back most of its early entry draft candidates. LSU returns 4 of 5 on the offensive line. It returns 6 of 7 from the defensive front 7, AND it gets Chaisson back, which is huge for the pass rush. LSU will be very good up front on both sides of the ball in 2019, plus Joe Burrow in year 2, lots of experience at WR, and some nasty DBs.
LSU is the only answer -- although it must be said that Bama will probably win the West again. Even though they are sliding back, they are still the most talented team in the division by a good margin.

Hard to say, Gus has beaten him twice but still loses 5 games a year
Jimbo almost beat Clemson last year. Saban lost by 4 TDs

The real question, of course, is whether Georgia can finally exorcise their own Bama demons. Time to seal the deal, Georgia. 2019 is your year.

He also lost to Mississippi State and Auburn, and got very lucky to beat LSU.
Plus, A&M will be significantly weaker on both lines.
Plus, the schedule is brutal.
Don't get me wrong: Texas A&M is on the rise. But 2019 is not shaping up to be their year. They will probably be a factor in 2020.

They made the best move they could have when they let Jim Chaney walk away.
He is becoming the John Chavis of OC's in the SEC

We will finish with a better record than both A&M and Auburn and beat both next year
