You guys hammer us with southern stereotypes even though you are just as southern. Maybe it's just culture in your state but it's pretty bad. Now I will probably list good things about you guys in the next thread.

You just stated a bunch of shite that, literally, every single fan base does.

You're on a site that is directly linked to LSU fan's home site. There are more LSU fans here than the rest of the SEC combined. If you can't figure out why is seems worse no one can help you.

If tidefans was attached to a big sec rant style forum. You would see similar stuff. That applies to most sec home forums. Most Arkansas fans will tell you how horrible hogville is for many reasons.

That's funny. That's exactly what happens every time I venture over to Tidefans.

Bama fans terribleness is known across the country. I've heard it discussed on sports radio in multiple cities, in fact. Including Minneapolis, actually.
just like everybody hated the Yankee and Celtic fans back in the day. Cause is 1/2 Bama fan arrogance(always winning will do that to you), and 1/2 opposing fans' jealousy(it's human nature)....learn to live with it.

I think it has more to do with the southern/redneck reputation most folks associate with Bama fans. Actually I'm sure of it.

Agreed. Go read TideFans or BamaOnline for a few hours. Your brain will will start self destructing.

And they'd associate that with any other deep south fanbase if they were on the national stage as much as Alabama. Tennessee used to get it in 1990s (see Fowler and the trailer park comments).

Throw in the crazies and you get a cocktail of instant hot takes. No biggie.

Really?...then why do the folks from the other deep south states (also southern/redneck) feel the same way as the rest of the country?...your reason doesn't hold water.

It's now LSU fans who do that. 16-10 is their 9-6.

I remember hearing it in the 60s.
We didn't lose many but when we did we usually beat our selves.

Let's face it, over the last 9 season's Alabama has rarely lost games and when they do it's usually a very close game that comes down to the final seconds or overtime and often times it takes a lot of bizarre things int he game to happen.

Alabama almost always fields the better team. It's hard to beat the better team without breaks.

Why would other "southern/redneck" fans view negatively fellow "southern/redneck" fans?...they'd be disliking the same type of people as themselves. I can see why you'd think that yankees or westerners would have an ill-conceived notion that southerners are inferior and to be disliked, but why would fellow southerners think so?

The point is that most folks view Alabama fans as more white trash/southern/redneck than other fans. Mississippi would be close, but OM is associated with faux class. Whatever other southerners think is irrelevant. I was specifically speaking to other areas of the country. You can deny it all you want, but it's 100% true. Your fan base has a bad rep, period, fair or not.

Do you really think that folks outside the south don't generally view people from Louisiana, Miss., Ga., Sou. Car., Tenn, etc. as rednecks? Any southerner who looks down on other southerners simply because they're not from the same state (as if people magically change at the state line ) as themselves is an idiot...are you one of those?
Don't you suppose that Alabama fans get more national attention than the rest of the southern football fans because Alabama plays for national championships while the rest just watch?
