Mayfield is good, but that OU defense is hot trash. OU ain't beating that Bama running game.

Are the teams playing Bamas 1st team, 2nd team or 3-5 team?

UGA - Best matchup

Ohio St - Second best matchup

Still not sure Penn St is that good.

Every other team in top 10 has some serious flaws in my opinion. Really don't think any of the remaining 7 teams could beat UGA, Ohio St., or Bama.

I don't see anyone mentioning ND. They play great defense and Wimbush could give them fits.

Wimbush is completing 51.3% of his passes and is 104th in D1 in QB Rating at 116.8. He would go 6/22 for 75 yards.

Almost this exact same thing was said once before...and we all know how that turned out.

Bama can only beat themselves.

Any team with a really dynamic QB. That’s pretty much the only way it happens

I almost want to see Notre Dame make it so they can get embarrassed on a national stage again

Ohio State and maybe Penn State. Georgia isn't beating Alabama with a true freshman QB.

I know he would technically still be a freshman, but by the time that game rolls around, he will be pretty seasoned.

And I think that GA D is aggressive enough that if a few things went their way, they could beat Alabama.

I would say Penn State could, just because they have some kind of crazy second half luck. They repeatedly come from behind to win games on big plays.

Ohio State? I think AL would crush them this year.

We made Wimbush and their running game look mediocre. Bama's defense is better than ours. They would suffocate them. The only reason I would have some confidence in our offense is that Fromm has shown to be solid in completing passes on third and medium/long. That's how you beat Bama. Attempt to run the ball somewhat and convert on third downs in order to not get destroyed on time of possession.

In order:

Clemson with healthy QB
tOSU
Ou
UGA

TCU (not convinced here, but they do look good)

No one else, especially PSU, keeps it close. PSU vs Bama would look like the MSU vs Bama bowl beat down a few yrs ago when CNS lost his schit because they couldn't NOT run score on Sparty.

The only teams that have a shot at competing with Alabama, let alone bear them will have teams that can at least match their physicality on the LOS. There aren't many that can do that. There are probably 5 teams total IMO.

UGA
Penn State
Clemson
*The 3 teams with the best chance

Ohio State
Auburn
*strong enough to compete but the offenses will get eaten up by Bama. Could be trouble if Bama made mistakes.

Oklahoma, TCU, Wisky, any Pac12 school will get destroyed. I think Vegas would back my assesment.

You’ve got to have great QB play to beat Bama. Pro style teams have a hard time but we’ve got beat by a couple LSU teams that had the talent to line up with us.
