Who supports this?

While I think beer at an LSU game would be a tremendous shite show of epic proportions I support it wholeheartedly.

frick the SEC gentleman's agreement with cajunbama's dick.

Beer at games would be fantastic.

Who else wants their stadium to start selling beer?

Its a weird scenario. I want beer, but limited beer lol. I know it sounds funny, but I just need 1 or 2 to hold the buzz from tailgate to post game tailgate. anything more, you'll see fights and shenanigans.

Since you cant leave the game anymore, I wish you could redeem your ticket in exchange for a beer. Everyone wins.

Not me. I take my young sons to college and NFL games. There is a dramatic difference in fan behavior in the stands when alcohol is involved vs when it isn't (yes, I know the history of issues Bama fans have...in almost every situation you can see where drunkenness played a role).

Support, especially with the growing popularity of the clear bag policy.

the type of fan at each is vastly different though even before they start drinking.

Maybe not at every concession stand (bathroom and concession lines at Sanford stadium are bad enough) but in certain areas around the stadium I think it would be cool. For example, in Reed Alley there are large sitting areas they could turn into beer gardens on gameday and on that new plaza area by the bridge and under the scoreboard, it could be nice). So basically general admission areas would be good for it (not saying people can't take beer back to their seats if they want though)

The concession areas need to be overhauled regardless. Selling beer could be a good impetus for doing that and hiring professional staff.

With out brain trust? Don't count on it.

If they thought they could turn the concession areas into dirt floors because it would save money and people would still buy their ticket packages, they'd tear the concrete up tomorrow. Fan comfort and happiness is not a concern, only fan dollars.

No. A hypothetical UGA brain trust that isn't completely useless.

this is kind of where I am.

The proposed beer garden in Tiger Stadium sounds great.

It won't be at every concession stad but having it contained in a special area seems like the best plan of action.

I wouldn't mind. I was walking back to sanford stadium with a friend at half time and when we got close to the stadium staff peeps made me empty out my drink that had only ice and were searching me for more. When i got back in my friend said that they are cracking down on alcohol like it's Coke on the border.

The biggest concern for the administration would be preventing sales to minors. Given that our geniuses categorically refuse to hire any professional staff for any concession stands in any of our facilities, you've all of a sudden got boy scouts and church groups trying to turn away already drunk frat guys that want to know why their obvious fake ID isn good enough to get a fricking beer DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO MY FATHER IS I WILL frickING OWN YOU IF YOU DONT GIVE ME A frickIG BUD LIGHT YOU BITCH

*Boy scout starts crying*

Agreed. I mean would you want a bunch of college kids having as many beers as they wanted? 2 should be max.

No, its more fun (and cheaper) to sneak it in the game.
