Just popping in -- haven't been around lately -- to say that I'm hoping Auburn wins. It's not about conference loyalty, though I do tend to prefer that SEC teams win over non-SEC teams and generally would in this case too. But my primary motivation is the fact that an Auburn win over Clemson will make our beat-down of Auburn look that much more impressive.

You know all of us Gamecocks want y'all to rip 'em a new one.

I just hope the SEC isn't embarrassed in that first week versus the ACC.
FSU and Clemson losses get a pass. They're not good but they're entirely understandable.
Depending on the level of the SEC team involved, I might give Duke losses a pass because Cutcliffe has built a nicely dangerous program. Nobody really wants to play Duke nowadays. Lacks the prestige of upper-level opponents and has the danger of Duke beating you at the same time.

I don't actively root against teams generally, but I don't think I ever have nor will I ever actively root for Auburn (or Tennessee) to win*. I generally passively root for other SEC teams in OOC games (though I don't really care THAT much), but not those two. Isn't that how it is supposed to be?
* The only exception to this rule is a Tennessee-Auburn game in which I just let me conscious guide me. By the end of the 1st quarter I generally know in my gut who I should want to win. It's science. Best case scenario is 2008 when both teams were dry humping the ball and embarrassing themselves.

Not me. I hope Dabo and Deshaun put 60 points on the scoreboard.

I'm pulling for Auburn as well as LSU and Ole Miss. Hell, I don't want a single SEC team losing an OOC game, period.

It doesn't make any difference who I want to win. Auburn doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of beating Clemson week 1.
That being said, I want Clemson to win walking away.
I fu(king hate Auburn.
