Week 1 is the time to get a team that runs the veer or flexbone or anything of the option offenses. The problem with scheduling a team like this week 1 is if you have a tough game in week 2. Going from preparing all fall for assignment football and suddenly preparing for a balanced offense can screw your D up.

Same here. You sometimes run into problems with teams like Ga Southern so scheduling a master like Paul Johnson is just a bad decision. Tennessee should be able to out talent a team like Tech but the triple option is the great talent equalizer and is demoralizing to see them on 6 or 7 minute drives.

I think I took GT in the pickem. Reasoning is Bitch Jones just isn't very good at his job. Also, with all the talk of Tenner players being soft, I figure a team like GT comes in and bullies them around some.

Having all summer to prepare for the triple option is huge.

I think it's a strong possibility. Their unique offense is a pain, they aren't a push over. Add in a new QB for Tenn and it could be a decent amount of trouble. I'd say Tenn has a 55 percent chance of winning by out talenting Tech

Tech is a hard team to prepare for in 1 week. TN will likely cut their normal fall camp by 1 week and give themselves 2+ weeks to prepare for 1 game.
