They will come out of the woodwork IF (huge if) we ever have real success.

What?

I don't find this to be the case at all.

In all their talk about tradition and The Grove and how they put down Miss. St. every chance they get because they won something 50 years ago. It is there. You have to be from Mississippi to see it though.

Like I said, when the big kids show up, they run off and aren't stupid enough to go public with it. But, they try to put down State every chance they get with what happened in the 50's and 60's.

It's pathetic.

Yep.

I have nothing against Ole Miss. I don't think about them, actually. But, the superiority complex is definitely there. It is based on the past, though, and the smarter Reb fans (like the ones posting here) know it.

It is also what keeps Ole Miss from moving forward, in my opinion.

DMagic and myself are both from MS fwiw. Any rational OM fan knows we are bottom feeders right now. You just have an axe to grind and need to chill out.

Ole Miss thinks that it is superior to Miss. St., which it clearly is not

Which makes State's outspoken little brother syndrome all the more perplexing.

In my experience it's just good natured fun. The only people I hang around that get seriously pissed about anything are my State friends.

I'll agree with it being the good natured fun but the people that act like Ole Miss is far superior to State currently are usually 50 and above.

I was going to say A&M, but I don't know if they have anything that can compare to NtY.

If "recent Egg Bowl victories" are your only measuring stick, then sure. Fortunately for us, life as an Ole Miss Rebel is pretty fricking great removed from football, so we don't need to beat our chests over whatever victories we can get in order to feel better about ourselves.

I included pretty much everyone in the SEC in this thread, and didn't give my opinion either way.

I even included Ole Miss as a candidate.

Tennessee vs. Bama. At least the other "little brothers" didn't try to get their big brothers the death penalty.

You're attitude in the other thread begs to differ.

The only reason you started this thread wasn't to find out everyone's opinion on the matter. You started this thread just because you were upset about someones blog and you're only response is herp derp lil bro.
