As I just demonstrated to the low IQ poster, Bama's 2011 resume was much better than its 2018 resume, and they still only got into the championship game due to Okie State blowing it during the final week.

I find it hard to imagine Bama being left out. Even 12-1 with a loss to East champion.
The committee will look for the best 4, you cannot say with a straight face that Bama isn't one of the best 4, IMHO.

Alabama losing in the SEC champ is a different story then if they lost to LSU this week
When you look at the landscape of college football they need some things to fall their way to get in if they lose to LSU

And you can't say with confidence that they are if they lose to LSU and don't win the West. They would have literally beaten no good teams.
