I don't pay for ESPN+ because I don't think it includes (or didn't at launch) the basic ESPN/ESPN2 content due to cable/satellite contracts. If that changes then I will acquire it.

ESPN, Fox, and Warner Brothers, Discovery are teaming up to create a standalone sports streaming app that airs live games from the MLB, NFL, NHL, and more.

You can pay for the Hulu/ESPN+/Disney bundle which is cheaper than paying for all 3 (or maybe even 2) seperately.

I already get Hulu through my phone provider and don't watch ESPN+ except for the regionals. Why would I pay double what I pay now?

ESPN+ for a month then immediately cancelled.

I haven't given Disney money in years.

I try not to give companies that hate me money.

You were getting it on the cheap the last half of that period because Disney was giving out services below costs to prop up their streaming business and get subscribers. Now that it has become apparent to them that they got their teeth kicked in, you actually have to pay at cost.

i understand it. im just never sure if people remember or ever realized that all this used to be no additional cost. ESPN3 was the shite

That bundle is going to be about $600 a year. I'd imagine that will get some sticker shock.

$50/mo is better than satellite/cable.

If all you watch is sports, should be up your alley.

Hulu and ESPN+? What's your provider? I only get Hulu through Sprint/T-Mobile.

Verizon.

If I paid for a tablet data plan, I would get Max as well.

We did a phone trade in (turn in the old iPhone to buy a new one) and selected the phone plan with unlimited data (no throttling down at a certain limit). We had to do the upgraded phone plan (which we would have done for that line anyway). My son hotspots for college.

I look at the free sports streaming sites overseas and no one covers college baseball.

There is one Youtuber that's got a couple games going but not all.

ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN have some games.

I'm with you .. I think I'm going to have to get + for a month.

Cancel when the regionals are over?

To me, the best part of streaming replacing traditional cable/satellite is that if I cancel a streaming app today, then I won't be charged for it again and can still use it for the rest of the tenure I paid for. I don't keep a lot of streaming services active, I activate the ones I want to watch what I want and deactivate those I'm not using.

Did the same last year to see a Bama game and will do again if absolutely necessary.
