Neither is Texas.

Not in a lack of respect way. But rather in a "we;re confident we can score on them enough to let our defense do a surprisingly good job against their offense."

La Tech threw for 330 yds against Texas. Do you think Techs QB & Wr’s are on the same level as LSU?

They also ran the ball pretty good until they got
behind and had to throw every down.

This being a big game I’m sure Texas will come out fired up and playing hard but there is not one position on the field where texas is better than LSU.

LSU wins going away. Won't be that close, and don't see why people think it will.

Feel good LSU wins this one.

LSU defense should give Texas fits and make for a long day.

I think the offensive production of LSU takes a hit, but still does more than enough to win by more than a touchdown.

Maybe, but can they hold off our pass rush? I think our DBs are good enough to play man and let the front 7 off the leash. The defense has pass rushers all over the place.

LSU will finish the season with a top 5 defense and likely the best Texas has played all year

Undoubtedly the best secondary they will have played

They may not be scared but that won’t matter. They aren’t gonna score a lot of points, win or lose

Solely based on how each team's message board has the game playing out...

Texas fans have them winning by about 40, while TD has LSU by roughly the same margin. I'm inclined to believe the truth is somewhere in between.

Let's call it 31-24, winner goes to whoever forces the first turnover and gets the momentum.

We have a great line but with the news just announced that our back up RB Whittington is out a month, we are beyond seriously thin at running back. We actually had to convert a third string QB to play RB last week. Fortunately he looked really fast/ good in limited action but that was against a vastly different team that what we are facing Saturday.

This puts even more of an emphasis on Sam to pick up first downs with his legs when our receivers are covered. Ingram, our starting back, is really good, but I doubt he can carry more than 25 times.

Receivers are going to have to play lights out. Fortunate that we have a ton of depth and high level talent there.

Texas 31
LSU 28

Not being a homer but I don't see this game being close at all, similar to the LSU-Miami game from last year. This is LSU's best defense since 2011 and even though it was Ga. Southern we have elite experienced talent on offense finally running the offense they all grew up running.
Let's be honest,Texas had to replace 8 starters on defense which is difficult at any level of football. Now they are down to one RB. While Ehlinger is a fiery QB he lost to Maryland last year and only scored 19 points against Kansas St. Aranda has had all off season to prepare for this game. Look what he did against Lamar Jackson.

LSU-41
Texas-17

Doubtful.

A depleted running game due to depth only plays into LSU hands m8.

Don't know who Texas lost but if the LSU players are over reading blowing out a cupcake week one, like the LSU fans, then they are going to get ran over before they realize the season started.
