Who would you guys put as the Top5 current college baseball coaches?
Probably some SEC baseball coaching changes on the horizon this off-season and wanted to see everyone’s current opinion of the top guys in the sport.

Were not going to win the cws but what vitello has done to our program with the players he has is nothing short of incredible. Not saying he's even a top 5 guy but he's gotta be up there.

I couldn't even name you one college baseball coach let alone five.

I think DVH, Corbin, and OSullivan would be in my Top5...harder to pick 2 more to round out the Top5

In no real order, just as they come to mind:
Tim Corbin Vanderbilt
Kevin O’Sullivan Florida
Jim Schlossnagle TCU
Dan McDonnell Louisville
Dave Van Horn Arkansas
Honorable Mention and reason:
Paul Maineiri LSU—bad year or even few years. Hard to say a coach with a title isn’t in the top 10 or top 5, but probably is due more to LSU’s program rather than his abilities.
Chris Lemonis State—I know, I know—who? Been at State 3 years and each team has been pretty dang good, and I think he usually makes great in game decisions, but there’s not enough data to put him in the above rankings. Time will tell. Yes, I’m a homer.

Andy mother bleeping Cannizaro. LSU should hire him.

there needs to be a baseball equivalent for the Nick Saban Center for Coaches Who Don’t Coach Good so that he can rehab and come back

Chris Lemonis has only lost 1 mid week game his entire time at State

I think he’ll be on the list soon; I just can’t put him there yet until he’s shown he can consistently recruit and put classes together that can consistently go to Omaha and be in contention for the SEC crown.

Oh I 100% agree he isn’t top 5 yet, but he is off to an extremely good start

Kendall Rogers posted that he's a candidate at New Mexico

But what are the metrics? Of course overall he isn't top 5, but currently? Maybe. Dude isn't going anywhere and will give fits.

I actually think he's not a bad coach at all. Just needs to keep it in his pants. Had a top 10 college coaching job and blew it.

How is Baylor's softball coach? Think she would take PullMaFinger's place?

He is pretty damn close. His recruiting has been insane too. We are getting players from the midwest like we never have before. A lot of Wisconsin and Canadian players finding there way to State. All while still getting top pickings in Mississippi and surrounding states. I have been very happy with Lemonis thus far. One aggravating thing is he NEVER confronts umps.
