I would say st Aug and rummel have passed Shaw
West Monroe has been a shell of itself without shows
Evangel has dropped off considerably since the church backed football program has fallen on hard times, what a scam that place was

None of those Mississippi schools are in top 10 anymore. Some have fallen a lot.

wow look at this - winningest high school programs in history

LINK

shows almost 700 programs nationwide

how sad, Pine Bluff and Little Rock Central are in the top 25 - now they're off the map completely

ETA: Valdosta should become the first HS in history with 1000 wins, in the 4 years

ETA: Louisville Male number two all time

Had no idea Mayfield KY was that good. Can't believe I forgot Ft Thomas Highlands

Clinton, OK

Kingsport Dobyns Bennett

Louisville ST Xavier, forgot about them

Didn't know Owensboro had such good history

Thomasville GA - still awesome I'm sure

Neville number 43 all time

Pine Bluff use to produce some good players.

They won state recently but still far from the dominance of the Marion Glover years of the 90s.

Central has hit rock bottom hard. They went from winning state in 2004 to having seasons composed of 0-10.

Most SEC level players come from Texas, Louisiana , Florida, , Georgia, Alabama , and Mississippi. Every other SEC school not from these states depends on these states to fill their roster .

In the old days it was Valdosta, Warner Robbins, LaGrange, Clark Central, Lincoln County, Fitzgerald, Washington County, Lanier (Atlanta), Marietta, & Carrollton, & Marist

Then there was a run by Buford, Parkview, and Brookwood out of Gwinnett County.

Now it’s Langston Hughes, Buford, Carrollton, Mill Creek, Colquiit County, Charlton County.

Edit for Rome, Thomasville, Thomas County Central, Americus, SW Dekalb, Gainesville, Stephens County, Catersville, Mary Persons, Washington-Wilkes, Dublin…..sorry if I omitted.

Grant Wistrom was the best, but Mark Smith was the first really good Webb City player. He was a All-SEC linebacker at Arkansas in the mid-90’s. He played for Chiefs for a few years.

Mark was a few years older than Grant, but they played together for a year.

Mizzou didn’t really recruit either of them
