I don’t know what a blue blood is but I do know that auburn has no business being referred to as in the same “tier” as UGA. It’s more of a you’re delusional than any comment about UGA. Damn bro we broke the frick out of you people.

Ohio State has a losing record to Michigan, fewer wins than Michigan, and I believe fewer Big 10 and National Championships than Michigan.

USC is the most underrated on this list. Their record against that group is really impressive and they’ve definitely had the most success against Notre Dame.

Georgia is 2 wins behind Tennessee and 3 wins behind USC all time. They have a winning record head to head with Tenn and the same number of SECC, But more bowl wins, bowl appearances, and heisman winners. They aren’t a “blue blood” but they are real close. They’re also 1 of the few teams that has multiple wins in the four major historical bowls: Rose, Sugar, cotton, & Orange.

Also, Oklahoma has a losing record 50-63-5 to Texas.

Maybe I’m just younger but I don’t consider ou a blue blood, one title in my life and head coach got poached by usc, I mean by that metric tenner is a blue blood. I could get over the terrible showing in playoffs/natty games but Blue bloods hire and fire coaches, not have them leave for greener pastures. Norte damn would be in the same boat if not for how college football yields to them as a whole(independence but p5 benefits, own major cable network)

Only a Michigan fan would hold on to this

And only a Michigan fan would think they are legitimately a better program

Michigan would trade places. Ohio State wouldnt. Enough said.

My perception of Michigan vs Ohio State as a complete outsider is that Ohio State is by far and away better, and it isn't close.

Would be like Louisville saying they're as good or better than UK in basketball historically

What he doesn’t get is part of being a blue blood is how big your Brand is.

You can find people in Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Asia in like Notre Dame gear. tu hats. USCe gear. Kentucky/Duke gear.

Is Georgia global? Hell, are they national? I have never seen a person Georgia gear in Texas. Texas schools, LSU mostly.

There is only one SEC blue blood, Bama.

Next closest is either
UT (.671 winning %, 861 wins, 2 NCs)
LSU (.653 winning %, 814 wins, 4 NCs)
UGA (.661 winning %, 859 wins, 2 NCs)

I don't know why anyone would down vote this post. It's 100% accurate.

Lately for sure, but that's not really what being a blue blood is about.

It's basically just teams that established themselves as "big deals" early on when college football started to rise in popularity. That's given them an advantage ever since in terms of viewers, fan bases as it's passed down the generations, etc.

Other than that, it doesn't really mean shite. Not sure why people are obsessed with redefining it into a "what have you done lately" contest.

Michigan 43

Ohio State 37

Michigan 17 outright

Ohio State 21 outright

Michigan played in the conference 16 years before Ohio State joined with 6 of their titles.

I mean. Its not daddy talk

I’ll tell you what they did, they established a Brand and Identity too. For the example, the idea that the best basketball players go to Duke/Kentucky/Kansas/North Carolina. Those four, without checking the all time winning percentages, have to be top 10?? I’ll probably check now lol
