We've been over this. Faulk had more yards because he had more carries. Bo with the same number of carries has 1100 yards more than Faulk.

Hell, Bo with a healthy junior season blows away Faulk and possibly is the SECs all-time leading rusher and nobody would be able to make any argument against him because he would've had the most (or close to) yards and a far superior YPC than anybody close to him on the list.

It's not Bo's fault Auburn had actual athletes and weapons surrounding him so we didn't need him to be a workhorse. But I think it's cute your fellow LSU fans are trying to count 2 guys as NFLers Faulk had to share he backfield with when one was a psycho felon that was apparently his teammate for half a season and between the 2 of them they barely played in 1 seasons worth of games and had less than 500 combined yards.

Bo and Herschel stand alone as far as pure athleticism goes. They are the prototypical RB that would be built in a lab. Both were 6'1 and 220-230 lbs. Both had world class speed. Herschel ran a 10.1 100 meter in college. Bo ran a 10.3 in HS (never ran it in college). Both were 4.2 40 guys

No.

They were not in fact world class sprinters and they did not run "4.2" 40's. They were fast for bigger guys, but world class on the track is a whole other level from where almost all football players run. They weren't even international level competitors, much less world championship or Olympic qualifier time wise in track in their prime.

As to the OP question, I think Bobby Humphrey, Shaun Alexander, Garrison Hearst, and Darren Macfadden are the most memorable guys after the two untouchables (Bo and Hershel)

The point wasn't to say Collins or Mealey were NFL HOFers. The point was they were both quality college backs taking carries from Faulk. You know, Like you were saying other backs were taking from Bo's carries.

Except Bo was splitting carries with pro bowlers in a system designed for multiple backs.

Faulk was splitting carries with practice squad guys in a system designed for one back

Bo was just fricking amazing at whatever the frick he did. If you want to go on who's the best pure athlete? I think Bo Jackson may have been the greatest ATHLETE to ever grace an American sport. We got cheated out of a LOT of good shite when his hip fricked up.
