I like the Gator's receivers, if someone can get the ball to them.

Van Jefferson
Jacob Copeland
Tyrie Cleveland
Trevor Grimes
Kad Toney

Freddie Swain
Josh Hammond
Drew Massey

5* Terry Godwin (Sr)

At what point during a player's career to we stop putting their high school recruiting ranking and start putting their production.

He's played 39 games and caught 111 passes for 1415 yards. Or 2.85 rec/gm for 39yds and change.

The guy may break out and be the next Jerry Rice, but his 5* status from 2015 belies his production up to this point (and I imagine you know that).

That’s pretty damn good production considering how awful our qbs were in 15/16, and how little we threw in 17.

I'm not at all saying the guy is bad, in fact I like his game. It's just goofy when people talk about recruiting rankings when there is a large sample size of seeing the guy play.

For comparison, UF’s likely starting WR this year was Ole Miss 4th best last year and was losing playing time once our TE got healthy

1 mile per hour = 0.489 yards per second

Do the math and their 40 times come out to:

1. CJ Miller- 3.62
2. DJ Metcalf- 3.64
3. Floyd Allen- 3.64
4. Zedrick Woods- 3.74
5. Demarkus Lodge- 3.74

and people made fun of Auburn's hand times. I guess i was wrong about Anthony Schwartz being the CFBs new fastest player

Those times aren't usually intended to represent sustained speeds. They are peak speeds monitored during a run.

That said, those times are very quick.

The NFL has trackers that guage peak speeds in games. Last year's top speeds by position groups:

Do you think these guys go from zero to that speed the instant they start running? Have you ever played sports? It takes time to reach that speed, strength coaches measure top speeds all the time on curved treadmills

Which DL group would you rather have?

Clemson:

Clelin Ferrell
Christian Wilkins
Dexter Lawrence
Austin Bryant

A&M:

Landis Durham
Daylon Mack
Kingsley Keke
Michael Clemons

My post and your post are pretty much the same thing.

Yep

One group has 3-4 pros, 2 possible first rounders.

But the other group wears my favorite colors, so they're obviously better

Is no one else going to call BJ on this, possibly the dumbest post in the history of tRant?

No mention of acceleration? No mention of the length of time these maximum speeds were maintained?

A poster who spends so much time at high schools should go back and study some high school physics

That actually reminds me, I've been meaning to tell you that you need to work on your "pro rasslin persona". You make a terrible heel, I can tell you try real hard at it tho
