Every fanbase here has been noted to tolerate shitty seasons except Bama fans. Id say fans of teams in the SEC are a cut above.

All SEC schools have lots of very loyal fans. I have always respected State fans because their teams have given them so little to be happy about. BUt, in all my trips to Starkville since the 1980s, their fans always show up.

Bama began the most expensive stadium expansion in school history on the heels of a losing season. We sold out every single home game of the DuBose, Fran, and Shula eras.

We built the East upper after going 4-7 in 98. I had a lot of fun in the 99 season running up and down the aisles yelling “Stop the construction!” with a bag over my head as we had another losing season.
Thank goodness Nick came in after that and taught us how to win
