I get what you're saying. I really do. The AFCA National Championship Trophy started in 1986.
But if the trophy was a crystal football in 1992, then why does this picture show Stallings et al posing with a very different trophy after beating Miami?

2.Bama
3.Tenn
4.AU
LSU doesnt have to worry about winning another one. Miles took a team that should have went undefeated and lost to UK and Arky and he no long has Saban built teams. UF only has to win 1 more and they still have good coaching and players. Bama has the best coaches and players and the second best shot even though they still have to win 2. Tennessee already has 1 NC and they dont have a program ran by Les Miles so at least they have a chance.Auburn has 1 NC but there is still a chance that that one will get stripped and then they will have none.

Then why did he ask the question the way he did? If he knew, why did he include Florida? He asked a simple straightforward question, to which there was a straightforward answer. A couple of Lsu fans being whiney because they are reading an implied message to the question isn't my fault.

Stallings is posing with the 1993 Sugar Bowl trophy in that picture. I'm sure LSU fans are familiar with its appearance.

The BCS trophy is the same trophy they have been giving out since 1986...just with different sponsors.
