Odom seems like the easiest answer. His buyout is only like 3.25 M. But MU isn't committed to winning and their school is failing so I don't see them giving an extra penny.

Sounded like he started to throw him under the bus but then realized that would be admitting that he was making decisions on offense (which he promised he wouldn't do).

It has to be Odom. Aside from Odom's team
being god awful again this year, he has no connections to our AD. We hired a new AD last year who's already made a coaching change when he fired Kim Anderson. He's team has given up on him, the fans have given up on him, and the AD will soon follow. He even gave a "please don't fire me speech" after the Auburn game. Also, like you pointed out, he has a small buyout.
One of our starting wide receivers was kicked off the team last week, we are losing recruits, and we already fired out DC after week 2. It's a massive dumpster fire and Odom is responsible for all of it.
I saw this coming last year when we had a top 10 defense in 2015 and we returned almost our entire starting lineup yet we finished near the bottom in total defense in the entire country. Our defense sucked last year and there was no reason for it. Odom changed up the scheme on defense and screwed it up. It 100% on Odom and he knows it. He knows he fricked up.

Last week O says Canada came to him and wanted to "simplify" the offense
this week O says he went to Canada and told him to stop the motions and movements, i.e. simplify.

He threw him under the bus again in his Monday press conference. He said something along the lines of all decisions and responsibility on that side of the ball belong to Matt, and Ed didn't start making any decisions with the offense until Troy.

I don't think I'd say he threw him under the bus, but they do seem to be greasing the wheels to use him as the scapegoat when the time comes. He apparently told Canada last week that they needed to simplify the shifts and motions in the offense. But then the shifts and motions re-appeared in the second half of the Troy game, so who the hell knows what's really going on behind the scenes.
I don't think O is going anywhere until Joe Alleva is relieved of his duties and a new AD is hired.

I like Canada. I am not sure he fits with our current personal, but if I was building a team from scratch I would take Canada over Mazzone.
