Mathematically this is true, but it takes a certain amount of not-give-a-frick money to be comfortable in that situation. My wife's paw paw sold off a bunch of land to a developer and became a millionaire overnight. This was back when a million dollars was still considered a lot of money. He continued living in his trailer, happy as a clam, for 20 more years.
