Not really relevant to the thread, but I heard Broderick Jones on the Rich Eisen show earlier, and he sounds like a good dude. Seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and is polite and respectful. Rooting for him in the NFL.

True for most teams. But these days, when we're talking about UGA, there's a greater chance the talk is actually TRUE and not just homerfied chat. The person that I heard that from was actually a non-biased journalist. So, it wasn't just a casual UGA fan observer.

Actually, lots of folks care. They'd care about Auburn's team too, uh...if it was half as good as UGA these days.

It’s a bit different when you have the best post Covid program in the nation, right?

Not that you care about the opinion of a UGA fan, but I will say that I think Auburn is going to rebound quicker than Florida. That's 2 schools with rich histories that are floundering at the moment, but I think Auburn can get back on track if they can get it together and keep recruiting well. They need to get rolling again to keep LSU and Bama honest in the SEC West.

It is normal to have the same discussion with different people. If you had engaged someone many times with the same discussion each time and asked them to let you have the discussion with others and avoid you...would you consider that normal?

Makes sense. On the other hand it is a game that happened almost a year and a half ago and you have talked about it nonstop. I am thinking you have discussed it with everybody that wants to talk about it and some that is tired of talking about it. Maybe it is time to give it a rest? I mean, Alabama has won a ton of championships, but you can't seem to accept the one that got away.

Maybe, but how is it better? Your problem in the recent past has been recruiting in the trenches. Right now you have a QB, a RB and two CBs. This is an honest question. I am not trying to take a jab at Auburn,. but how is recruiting great?

ETA
I checked last years class and y'all got several DLinemen and Olinemen which is a big improvement. My bad.

It has to do with the people running the football program here at AU.

Harsin never recruited. At all. He never put in effort in it, and recruits were disgusted by his attitude when he met them. Some recruits even said they didn't see him until they stopped by his office! Yet he wants to talk about the grind to our fans while he was here but got nothing done. When we fired him, we had one recruit in and we were the lowest ranked-class in the SEC.

Freeze honestly has been nothing but a life-saver in the recruiting department. He works, and he works HARD on getting top recruits down to the plains. The staff are constantly talking to recruits, the recruits are talking to other top-100 recruits on coming down to AU. We're fighting for recruits that y'all are fighting for and we're making this interesting for all parties involved. Recruits WANT to come to Auburn and meet the staff. We're projected to have a Top 10 class. Many of our fans feel optimism for recruiting they haven't felt in a while. Freeze knows he's on a leash by the AD and the University and he's making every single second count.
