We COULD to Texas this year, but at least we didn't bitch out like Georgia.
But Auburn or Florida

National titles in the last 20 years:
Alabama - 6
LSU - 3
Florida - 2
UGA - 2
Auburn - 1
Texas - 1
OU - 0
Tennessee - 0
It'll be Tennessee though. At least OU has been to the playoffs. This was a fluke year and they aren't recruiting at the level of the others.

They seem the easy choice but they are the most BiPolar
Lose 10 in a year then win 10 the following year
6 Alabama - least likely
5 Georgia - Dawgs are stout and the other 2 are down
4 LSU - especially if at night in Death Valley
3 Auburn - who the hell knows year to year
2 Tennessee - especially if neutral or away
1 Florida - currently a hot mess and no signs of a better future

Rebs were in the wrong place at the right time in history
Civil rights killed a Natty or two and set them back years

Is Auburn really a big six program at this point though?

I often wonder is tLandmass (with low population) would be better served with just 1 school. Too far down the road to make that happen.
Like many bigger states ...
Michigan / Michigan State
Utx /TAMU
Alabama / Auburn
Indiana / Purdue
Kansas / Kansas State
Iowa / iowa State
Simply ...
1 usually produces lawyers / politicians
1 usually produces farmers / engineers
Now I am old and all but I believe putting value on the folks that grow things and builds thinks is the best response. History tho seems to heap the rewards on the others tho. Especially since 1980.

In all seriousness, we're still a Big 6 program whether you like it or not. Since 2019 it's been pretty sucky and mediocre but hopefully we have a future to dawn on with Freezus. We're still Top 20/Top 15 all-time in most things. This season (to me) we have a floor of 6-6 and a ceiling of 9-3. If we have a good year this year, 2024 will be a great year
Also, can't wait for biesbol
