We are currently in or near the top ten in all sports mentioned. Your teams are incomparable.
Arkansas football has been hit/miss since joining the SEC. LSU football spent a decade as a top 10 team, with 2 national titles and a 3rd appearance. Sure, we finished in the top 10 again with Orgeron... just imagine what a top-notch coach with a plan could do with the program? O's success is actually damning in this case.
Basketball- at least Arky recognized their roots and tried to return (Mike Anderson, which seems to be a mistake). LSU seemingly hit the jackpot with Wade, so as soon as Yahoo Sports started talking, you'd expect at least some defense or support. Instead, Alleva basically had the locks changed while Wade went to buy milk. Ultimate cowardice. Fire the man if you think it's warranted, otherwise let them win a damn conference championship.

I would say Alleva considering there’s nothing to destroy at Arkansas

Jeff Long. No contest. If LSU dumped Alleva, the still have elite in state talent. Other than poor coaching hires, I see no reason why LSU can't dominate in the big 3 sports on a yearly basis.
Arkansas' margin of error way way way smaller. We fricked for a decade minimum. Unless Aggie Chad cheats like a Texan (and will still need to be a damn good coach) and we fire Mike. I'll take Will Wade after he finishes a year long internship under Barry Switzer.

LSU’s athletic program is thriving in spite of Alleva. Imagine if we had a halfway competent human running things.

But if Alleva is fired today, and y'all got the right AD that made decent hires, you guys could be right back in ONE year. He's fricked y'all during his tenure, but LA's instate talent and recent success makes the fix a breeze.
Arkansas had decades of bullshite, then Petrino. We were coming off a BCS bowl and then a top five finish. Had some momentum. Granted, Long didn't have a choice with Petrino, but Petrino wasn't going to last at Arkansas anyway. It was a perfect time to change without him lingering long enough to destroy the roster. Long hired John (get your piss hot) Smith, then Bert with his "character guys". Mike Anderson...enough said. The BB hire was even more important. The two prior shitfestivals weren't on Long, but the Mike hire had to be solid. Had to at least get us back on the road to respect. NCAA rule changes neutered Mike's style of play. He was never a great recruiter or player development guy. I wished he was, because he's an Arkansas guy and I believe he really wanted to do well here. He just wasn't the guy. Long took the easy, PC way out and hired him.
I'll swap places with LSU any day of the week!!!

The part that blows my mind is he was the chairman of the College Football Playoff Commitee.
Anyone remember how that came to be?

Thank Saban. Not being a dick, but the rest of the world had been wondering for decades why LSU wasn't wrecking shite in football. I think y'all fanbase, donors, and athletic dept just accepted the status quo. Not all obviously, but a large number. Saban was a great hire. And his record at MSU did not scare me when he was hired. I honestly didn't think he'd be able to recruit due to his lack of personality, but LSU recruits itself in state and has the talent to make the worst recruiter rich in talent. Saban coached them up and proved what everyone else knew was an eventual certainty. Then y'all got Les. A recruiter. Go get a fricking coach. A brilliant X's and O's guy. LA kids going to LSU. Might lose a few but LSU can have a top 10 recruiting class each year without doing shite.
And for the record, I'd love to see Coach O win a natty at LSU. I've said this all along. I love the passion and love his has for his state and school. He is as "LSU" as a man can get. Complete with a coon arse accent and personality. But, unless he can get some brainiacs on board to coach it's not gonna happen. He's a recruiter and motivator, but LSU don't need that. He's just a wasted salary with no added brain power.

fricking integrity and shite. Plus he's a yankee and they knew that so long as he was at Arkansas, there'd be no conflict of interest.

Arkansas won a natty in track last week. That's such a chick thing to say.
Women's fricking indoor track. I'll take it. Don't get me wrong. Great troll bait, but about as satisfying as eating a picture of a great steak.
Of course we were a routing pop up away from a big three natty in baseball before we Arkansas'd it away in absolutely the most Arkansas of ways. When that ball hit the ground, I told my wife what was about to happen. She said to settle down and don't be so negative. We ALL knew what was coming. frick me. I still get pissed. I was enjoying my vacation in the Keys and swore not to watch that shite cause I knew they'd ruin my trip and just like they always do...they drew me in real close, gave me some real HOPE, then made it damn near a certainty...then kicked me in the nuts with a steel toed boot while simultaneously shoving a hot poker up my arse.
frick Jeff Long. Petrino was bringing our swagger back. Jeff Long brought "integrity", losing, and motherfricking PEPSI!!!!!!!! No Coke. PEPSI at Razorback games. That shite alone will make players do dumb shite and drop balls. No Yarnell's, No coke. frick that guy. Sonofabitch!!!!! That carpetbagging, smug, FOS douchebag lights a melt in me that can ignite at anytime. Right outta the blue. frick!!!! I WAS having a good day.

LSU's AD isn't really in control - the athletic-hating university President, F. King Alexander, is responsible for the embarrassments that LSU has suffered the last few years. He overrides Alleva. What can Alleva do? F. King is his boss. LSU needs a new President first.
