The only thing that is stupid is dismissing his statistics and accomplishments because Alabama fans have felt so threatened by his accolades and have to come on the board to prove over and over and over again how much they don't care about TM. They care so little, they're posting on page 13 of a thread started by an Auburn fan stating that TM was a great player.

Boom. Headshot.

Well, you are talking about an individual player in TM. It wont make much sense to speak about the whole team. Nice try though. I know we used to be elite, after a couple down years we will probably never be good again. We will probably tear down Neyland and start playing at a local high school.

He accomplished getting kicked out of school. What a badass.

Bammerholics getting absolutely owned in this thread as, I imagine, the OP knew when he ran it up the ole flagpole of football Insecurity.

Referring to this?

I guess it doesn't. Be stupid.

I stand by my reply.

he OP is an AU fan, but also a CFB fan that likes exciting football and great players I suspect. Your post is akin to responding to every UA poster that has a 'Got 14?', "Road to 15' or some other Atcheson concoction in his sig or post, except the OP has some actual substance behind his statement. Classy man, truly.

The insecurity marked by 'if we are not the best let's denigrate' is odd.

I oft lay awake a night wondering if Alabama had any decent baseball players...would LSU fans show them any respect.

I think most are just getting tired of reading the hyperbole. Especially, when a Bama player was denegrated on this site, for basically doing the same feat a couple of years ago. Most all the Bama fans that posted in this thread said he was a very good player, but elevating him to greatness, best that's ever played and such is getting tiresome, when others have accomplished as much or more as he has at that position. As far as the OP goes, you give him too much credit. He even states TM's kickoff returns, and as so many in here have pointed out, he only returned punts. Was he a very good player? Yes. Was he a game changer in several games? Yes. As was others before him. Was he greatness and the best and only to do it from that position. No.

Well sure, we have plenty of posters that do the same thing. But to answer your question, I think so.
The baseball faithful would give there left nut for Tanner, wouldn't they?

No worries. To be fair. I'm the one that started the Javy = TM yesterday.

Gotcha. Me, I just appreciate good exciting football. Tried to incorporate USC/Oregon into a SEC discussion a while back mainly to talk about Thomas and CCK's offense but all I got was "PAC 12 sux"...just the way it is.

It was just awfully slow. Needed to get things moving and I figured that would entice more posters than:

"OK Lsu fans, it's on for basketball now"

Bama/Lsu has met for the NC in two of the three major sports, it's time for it to happen in roundball now.

No doubt but after him, pay him money and tout a full ballpark at 10K...too late now though.

Johnny Jones got to change those initials though, and reincarnate as Dale Brown.

Softball is the new Big Three sport. May happen there next. Bama and Lsu is stacked there.

I really like Torina and Caldwell (hoops), I think they can compete nationally for a while. And my favorite play of the year is still that UA runner plowing the Sooner 1st baseman...that needs to be a gif.

Close but not as good. Look at the awards Mathieu won. What did arenas win individually?
