Yup. I heard from a guy who has a friend who is close to the program that Auburn players are phoning it in this week in practice.

I only pray that Jesus gives Mizzou the strength to play above their heads one more game this year.

Mizzou is damn good and they are going to be a very tough foe for Auburn this weekend. Pinkel is an excellent coach and a win for Mizzou this weekend would bring attention to his ability that most of the nation has ignored.

It is even worse than that. All their phones were taken away. They aren't even calling in. They take shits and wipe their asses with photos of Mizzou players.

I had heard that. But I thought it was too far beyond the pale to be true. Sad, sad day.

Thanks for the info.

Agreed. Like I said, I listened to several college sports shows today and they all talked highly of Mizzou and Pinkel. This is just a thread for killz to get his attention fix.

They will jump Bama if they beat Auburn. Right now Bama has the "better loss"

Are you saying that because they beat us, or do you think a 7-5 team is an accomplishment. There is a reason its called an upset.

I'm saying it because it's something your team couldn't do.

You're literally the 900th poster on the rant to ask that question. You're not going to get a serious answer at that position in the line.

See hugos thread about zero wins over top 20.

Now let me preface this with, I agree that Bama should be ranked over Mizzou right now, but Bama's top win is against a #15 ranked team and Mizzou's is against a #22 ranked team that beat that #15 ranked team. I don't really think that is a very legit argument.

If Mizzou wins the next game, they won't just be respected... they'll be feared. When they walk on to the field at Bama or LSU or Georgia or South Carolina or Florida, they will do so as a member of an elite club. They will do so as a legit threat, not a team with a losing record last year. Not as an upstart team with a chip on its shoulder looking for the upset, but as equals with every other team in this conference. Saban and Miles, as they pour over film of the next weeks game, will see an opponent not as an upstart club that might catch their guys off guard and flat, they will see Mizzou as a program every bit as capable as their own (regardless of what fans think). They know their players will do the same and will not require artificial motivation. They will see a coach in Pinkel who is an equal among his peers as well (and I do believe he is right there among the best in this conference).

Whenever Mizzou takes the field next year at an away stadium, they will do so as champions of the Southeastern Conference - the unquestioned best conference in all of college football - IF they win their next game. They will have respect, and all things that come with that respect. If you go out seeking respect, and succeed in doing what's necessary to earn respect, respect you will find.

Yeppers....will Saban or Miles teach us the secret handshake?

Tell me you're not being serious. Are you really comparing traveling 12 hours to some mediocre bowl around Christmas to traveling 7-8 hours to Atlanta for an SEC championship game?

I have never seen bigger homers than Hogs fans. The sports radio station is still talking about how close you guys were to having a 7-5 season. I'm sure I will hear it like clock work next season.....you guys are the team to beat besides Bama in the SEC West. Same drum, different year.
