I get it, but that doesn’t seem fair to Auburn?
strength of schedule will be top notch for every team in a 3/6

Very reasonable....it may work.

Would TAMU rather play LSU than OU?
A&M-LSU has much more history than A&M-OU (60 contests vs. 31 contests) regardless of current interest in continuing the annual matchup or lack thereof. I've never cared much for playing the Sooners, even after the Big 12 shotgun marriage forced it to happen. That was the school in Austin's deal not A&M's.

it would be great to get Auburn/Florida cranked back up yearly but your pairings make the most sense. AU/UF can play ever other year home/away.

Doesn't Auburn typically have one of the toughest schedules in the SEC most years? As much posting as I've seen the last few years about them wanting to move to the East I bet they'd be thrilled especially with playing UT more often as well.

Aub played all 3 annually for like 65 years.

LSU has been trying to get out of their annual game with Florida for almost 20 years. So that.
Wanting equitable scheduling does not mean “trying to get out of their game with Florida”. They would be one of the 3 I would pick for us.
Ultimately the big schools are probably going to get 2 other big schools and one of the smaller ones. For us that means almost certainly we get Ole Miss as our small school and 2 of A&M, Florida, and Bama.
In that scenario I’d pick Bama and Florida personally but I imagine they won’t want to give Bama permanent games against us, Auburn, and Tennessee. Unless we’re counting either Auburn or Tennessee as one of the little 8 in this scenario, which isn’t off the table.
But I think the most likely 3 for us is A&M, Florida, and Ole Miss. which at the end of the day suits me well enough.

Big 6 should play each other every year. No one cares about games against Vandy or Moo St.

I think you’ll end up with 4 of the 6 every year. It can’t be everyone plying everyone because then you hurt your chances at get the most teams possible in the playoff.

I would like to be a fly on the goalpost for the first Texas 8 & 4 vs Texass game. Gonna be some good fights in that one.

It was never equitable, but Auburn needed to play those 3 teams for recruiting purposes. So yes, most Auburn folks want those 3 as permanents even though NIL has probably changed the calculus a bit.

I guess with no more divisions it doesn’t matter as much, but that seems pretty onerous.

Well maybe AU/UF could be a nonconference game then, there's precedence for that.

Auburn.
If I were them I’d be thrilled with UA, UF, and UGA. It doesn’t matter if UF is there or not, your either going to play them or LSU, UT, UTx, or OU. From a home scheduling side, knowing you have UGA in October and Bama at home one year and UF and at least 1 of those 4 the next.. makes it easy to get the most interest in your schedule.

I think SC is a must for them. We’re their oldest conference opponent by a long shot.
