Let the down votes flow, but UGA has the potential to be the best sec coaching job, possibly the country.

Great college town
Great school
Right down the road from a major city
If the coach there could lock down most of the talent in the state, automatic top 10 ranking
And it's not close.

Like a guy said earlier, they just gotta make it happen.

UGA is a better job than FSU, Clemson, and probably Penn State after Sandusky. Probably equal in stature to aTm in the SEC.

Drop FSU off the list, and put Oklahoma in front of LSU, then that list is decent.

Wrong question IMO. Where does the UGA job rank among those other teams that will be looking for a coach if and when UGA decides to look for one.

This year:
USC west
UGA
VA Tech
USC East
Miami

Not sure if that's all or not.

With that being said if they do make a move this year really they should have at least second choice maybe 1st if the candidate is attracted to SEC.

I would say about the same as A&M, BAMA, LSU, & UF.

UGA is probably the best job in the SEC when you factor in the natural advantages it has.

I don't know how the supposed lack of backing from the administration factors in though.

Earth to Texas A&M fans... Your program is not what you think it is. Nobody outside College Station looks at your school as a top gig. So stop acting like it.

Nah. Aggies are right. A&M pays better for mediocrity.

Outside of the "Big 3" states, Georgia produces more high school talent than any state by far. UGA could win a national title with GA talent alone if they focused on closing the borders. The bottom line is a good coach could, and should win SEC and national titles there. Where it ranks does not matter.

UGA has a national brand, better college town, better uniforms, better women, and a much deeper history than Texas agricultural and mechanical college.

FSU and Oklahoma jobs are heads and shoulders above UGA. They are much more relavent. How many championships does GA have? UGA's AD is stingy and they lack Indoor practice facility until everyone in the SEC got one (if it wasnt for daddy Florida, they wouldn't get one either). UGA isn't even a top 10 job, maybe top 20.
