Is this a JFF vs Cam thread?
Cam is better.
Cam is better.

Negative. A&M lost two games because:

I actually have MORE unrustled jimmies now than prior to reading this.
That's tough to do. Bravo sir.

That's two Arkies trying to rustle jimmies by adding nothing to the conversation.
Troll harder, pigs.

those arguments about d, and the like all can and should be made. But you can't sit there and say oh well you have to imagine that he would have gotten a bunch more TD's if he had stayed in so his real number would have been a lot closer to theres. Everybody qb deals with not getting to get extra td's in big blowout wins.
Manziel may have gotten an extra 2 TD's a game in those blowout wins cause yall's coach is a dick and doesn't know the meaning of respecting your opponent.
The stats are what you got against your competition. And thats the end of it.

quote:exactly. stats are the stats. but to sit there and say " manziels season last year wasnt as good as tebows or cams because manziel had fewer touchdowns against SEC opponent", which is what that one poster was infering, would be a stupid thing to say when he missed a good amount of time that kept him from scoring more

I agree with this. Which means what?

Only true against Missouri, and he still came out of the game early. Sumlin was trying to impress Heisman voters and shite. Hardly the only one. The other games were all backup qbs in the third or fourth quarter.

Again, which means what? Stats are _________!
(HINT: Penn & Teller show)

Tebow was in the conversation initially. Fwiw, he's also better than JFF.

first one was more of a response to WestCoast talking about how Manziel would have gotten the extra touchdowns cause the coach kept slinging it late.
second one I wasn't saying he got extra. Saying he may have gotten even more had he stayed in the game. Again talking to west coast.
I don't know what the last thing is asking me.

Then, I agree with you. We're dealing in what-ifs. Which brings me to the last point which was:
Stats are __________!!!

and again. i was only responding to the one poster who wanted to make the point that manziels season was worse than cams and tebows because of the touchdown disparity by saying that is crappy way to compare them considering his situation was different

stats?
I don't think TD's are the only factor, I do think they are one of the more important aspects of it though.

What a terrible list. No mention of Tyler Bray, Aaron Murray, Tyler Wilson, Ryan Mallet, or even Chris Todd (who was better in 2009 than Stephen Garcia ever was). Greg McElroy and Connor Shaw were also better than Stephen Garcia. And Johnny Manziel is not number 1. Your number 3 should be your number 1, end of story.

Agree. It doesn't tell the whole story, especially when talking about a QB. Stepping into the absurd to prove the point:
Luke Jockle is the greatest OT in the history of the universe because he has more touchdowns than every other OT.

Yay, us.
