They all do it now... Go back and look and you will see clempson or clempsom, more then Clemson.
Ive never understood it.
The other one is Sabah . What is that? Is it in the same vein as Clempson or does sabah mean something that's beyond just purposely misspelling a name.

I've seen this referred to as "satiric misspelling."

If you search for the word "A1abana" that our good friend WillyT uses so much, after a few of his posts, you'll see old OCR results from booklets on statistics, industrial reports, and climatological data.
I think the old fonts used by typewriters confuse the OCR and sometimes index a blurry "Alabama" as "A1abana."
Maybe just a coincidence, but this is the only other place I've ever seen it, so it may be where he first saw it. Or maybe he just made it up.
I've probably already spent way too much time on this.
