Say whaaaaaaaaa? It’s basically legion field in a more dangerous city.
Jackson is a schithole, possibly even on par with parts of Bham nowadays in that manner.

But, the stadium has a cool old feel to it. Even the design is old school. Behind tOSU in terms of renovations for a horseshoe build... looks like Harvard almost.

Buddy you have no clue what you're talking about if you're comparing Jackson's Shithole Stadium to Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville Mississippi. It is apparent you haven't been to a game at either venue in the last 30 years.

This is literally as dumb as me saying that Legion Field is better than Bryant Denny and seats more so that makes it on the level of Michigan's stadium....

When is the last time you've been?

It might be one of the worst stadiums in the southeast.

Tennessee needs to get their shite together. That stadium is ridiculous. Why the hell not play it in Nashville at the titans stadium?

I see how it came across that way, but wasnt the intent. Was simply comparing seating capacities in my OP.

And, for a HS championship venue, it isn't an awful place to play. Just an awful city. Legion Field is a perfect matching city/stadium.

Bigger point in my OP that got lost is that USM is a great venue and the smaller seating capacity may even be a benefit to the game feel for HS.

VHS and DWS are hands down the best in MS, and would be awesome places to play. But, the Rock isn't too shabby either and has some other perks.

Isn’t BHam on the upswing and has a lot of good things going for it these days? I’ve heard BHam is legit now and Jackson.. not so much

In Tennessee that would be Cookville, population 32k and located 80 miles east of Nashville or 80 miles west of Knoxville. It is also about 90 miles north of Chattanooga and 280 miles east of Memphis.

Not in Cookeville every year. Been to it at MTSU and Vandy. Unless that’s changed

Bham crime stats still have it as worse than Jackson.

Jackson: safer than only 4% of US cities; 8.93 violent crimes per 1000 people compared to 2.8 per for rest of MS. 1 out of 112 in Jackson have chance of being a violent crime victim. LINK

Bham: safer than only1% of US cities;14.66 violent crimes per 1000 people compared to 5.32 per for rest of AL. 1 out of 68 in Bham have chance of being a violent crime victim. LINK

I disagree. Tucker Stadium in Cookville is the perfect size. Why play it in a much bigger, but much emptier stadium.

Tuscaloosa and Auburn have been alternating for a while now. The Super 6 used to be held at Legion Field for a little while I think.

Little while? You must be young, it was at legion field for longer than its been rotating. It's almost a guarantee they'll move back to Birmingham again after the new stadium is built

I played in Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium for the state title. It's ok but I much rather played in DWS or VHS

Which I think is stupid. Having HS title games in 70k+ seat stadiums doesn't really make sense to me. It takes away from the HS football atmosphere imo.
