I agree.

I think his strength is in his preparation.

You probably know him better than I do. I always saw his strength as coaching players up. Not necessarily even preparation so much as making a bunch of 3 and low 4 star players into NFL draft picks.
The joke late in his career at Miss St was how many losses he had despite the number of 1st day draft picks from his team.

His guys will be in shape, the rosters will be well managed and the guys on the field will know what to do and when to do it. That's his strength to me.

His wide receivers had the wrong armbands during the Jacksonville game against the Dawgs. I think it cost them a 4th down attempt. I don't know that he has a reputation for guys always knowing what to do and when. I think that was one of the knocks on Nick Fitzgerald in why he didn't continue to develop after his great freshman season.

The 4th down attempt was calling a pass when it was 4th and inches.

The wrong armbands caused him to burn 2 timeouts and have to take a delay of game penalty.

If you know so little about CFB, try google. Will help you a lot.

You mean like googling "dan Mullen 4th down screw up"?

It had 277,000 results.
I hadn't read them all when I said "I think" regarding his 4th down blunder in Jacksonville.

"I think" is a qualifier that someone can fact check me or correct me.
I don't have time for dan Mullen's 277000 hits on google when searching for his 4th down mistakes.

So you still couldn't figure out who Brewster was? The deflection was nice, but it doesn't take away from your lacking knowledge. Brewster is well known to be an elite recruiter. He joined UF at the end of the year. Did very well immediately. He was a stud recruiter at FSU before UNC.

Sorry. I didn't understand what you were referencing with google. Just a post earlier, someone clarified one of dan Mullen's 4th down mistakes.

I know a little about Brewster.
Enough for me to ask why he is an elite recruiter.

What do you have for me? You can use google if you aren't sure.

He joined our staff this offseason. Was recruiting cord at FSU under Fisher. He is a hire directly because of his recruiting ability, which is the point I was making. Mullen lacked heavily on strong recruiters with his original staff. So he is upgrading in that area now.

According to 247, he was the 43rd best recruiter in the ACC for 2020. That mark would have placed him 69th if he were in the SEC last year. It did place him 220th in the country for 2020.

I'm not the one who called him an elite recruiter.
Again, is he elite when comparing to the other Florida offensive coaches for recruiting?
Or is there something else that makes him elite?

Again, you can use google if you need to.

Mullen will require high quality transfers each of the next 2 years just to keep any level of quality balance.

Mr. Self awareness here.
Didn't you mutts just have to go get a qb from a shitty Acc team? And another from a mediocre underperforming Pac 12 team?

Go ahead you can use Google if needed.

Weak attempt.

We've recruited so well, we had 2 QBs transfer the past 2 years and 1 leave early for the NFL. It left us shy of upperclassmen.

Mullens offense has recruited around Georgia Tech levels.
You can keep your blinders on about it if you like. You NEED every transfer to make up for the shortcomings out of high school. And as those transfers age out, you will need more transfers because the 2019 and 2020 offensive recruits are just that... offensive to the talent levels on your team.

How many transfers has Mullen brought on offense the past 2 years anyway?

I'd love to know. UGA has brought in QBs and TEs. The QBs who transferred out gave up and quit. We have struggled with roster management at TE (2016 TE declared for NFL, 2017 no TE recruited, 2018 TE got homesick and went back to IL). It left us without upperclassmen for 2019 and 2020.

Transfers are required to supplement a roster for 2 reasons:

Excellent recruiting
Subpar recruiting

His last class was majority four star and included 4 five stars if you count the transfers.

They were 5 stars that couldn’t do shite at their old schools and had to transfer for PT.

Counting them as 5*s still is hilarious

He transferred out to go play for a real coaching staff instead of staying and being ruined by Kirby.

He is now a Heisman front runner and will be a top 5 pick next April, while the QB that was ahead of him went from a first rounder to 5th rounder.

He was at UNC with coaching changes happening. Shouldn't have to explain why that would hurt landing recruits.

Look at his FSU and Texas recruiting history. Its outstanding. Let's not forget he landed Vince Young at Texas when there. Sure Texa

WR transfers haven’t produced much. Demetris Robertson Is a bust at this point.

We brought in two former five star transfers on offense this offseason(Lingard, Shorter), Reese a four star lineman and a three star WR in Pouncey(family of the twins). Two years ago Jefferson and Grimes paid off well as transfers. He does a decent job filing gaps in the market for us. We would like more five star recruits of course though.
