So it's not you that's wrong, it's your "sources" that you believed in enough to cite on this board multiple times.

We saw how the Pats did last year with the nickel and dime passing game.

Yeah, they made the playoffs with a rookie QB. How'd the other first round rookie QB's do? How'd the Pats do in 2020 with a veteran QB leading them?

We are hearing a lot in the pre-season on how bad the Pats Offense will be this year.
Yeah, sure. They'll be worse after investing in OLine and receiver help through the draft and Free Agency.

I said that Bama would be fine short-term recruiting because Saban begged for money. I said it is not sustainable and will not be a long-term success story unless Saban gets the rules changed. He knows that.

So basically all of your garbage predictions amount to "this could POSSIBLY happen on a far, distant future date!"

I take it back. Keep making these laughable predictions. They're always entertaining because of how far off-target you are on every single one.

Good question. It seems that fewer Auburn fans are showing up on SEC Rant accept during basketball season.

No and it has been explained and written about many times in newspapers. The BOTs established a committee to do interviews via Zoom (see the list). Those on the list have been confirmed. The President did not want to leave the AD out of the loop and demanded he have the final say who gets hired. Thus, Greene chose Harsin. Google it if you do not believe me.

They made the playoffs with the Defense and playing the Jets, Dolphins and Jacksonville and others. In 2020 half their Defense sat out the year due to Covid avoidance. I said last year that they couldn't get the ball downfield with Jones arm and it proved true. We will see this year, but we are hearing a lot of negative noise about the Offense.

I have used the term long-term about 100 times in explaining my post. You just fail to read.

Rumor has it your On to Victory NIL folks met up with some of your PTB, big money donors, and a few of your coaches (Harsin included) recently in B’ham in an effort to get everyone on the same page. The fact that y’all still have people that aren’t in agreement on NIL after +12 months of its existence should be troubling.

But we were not talking about Auburn. This conversation was about Alabama and their resources. Those resources will struggle long-term. In AUs case they have the resources, they just do not trust Harsin enough to jump in feet first. It will come either for him or his replacement. It is a listen and watch approach right now.

Unless there are guardrails (that is the term the politicians and college admins keep using) put in place on NIL, I think the next step in NIL will be something like the 2nd NIL collective USCw has.

Teams like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, LSU, and Penn State - and to a lesser extent Tennessee, Florida, and FSU - would absolutely kill in that regard.

Every lawn mowing company, pressure washing company, doctor, lawyer, or other small business owner who can afford to throw a few K into the NIL co-op will do so. And you'll see a token picture of some football player on that team on a billboard or local TV or radio ad saying "I'm college football player (INSERT NAME HERE), and Reliable Lawncare will have your yard looking better than a college football field" for an easy payday.

My wonder with these NIL collectives is how much of a cut are the executives in those collectives taking. There has to be some overhead, but I'm sure they are milking it like how some charities or non-profits have outrageous salaries for their CEOs and Presidents.

Not going to nickel and dime a program to success with NIL. It has been happening under the table for years and was not near as expensive. One time small payments might happen, but USCw and A&M will use long-term big payments and clean up. That is my point of sustainability.

Not as sad as UGAs nouveau riche success story and their fans. Not as sad as the most underachieving athletic program in the country.

UGA has been the best team in the SEC at least once in the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 00’s, & 10’s; Top 10 all time in wins by seasons end.

Yes they are underachieving though we are a distant second to Texas, but they are absolutely not nouveau riche.

To be honest, I love my Tigers and root hard for them. But I’m past 60 and long ago quit obsessing about what 20 year olds do on a football field.

Want to know another little secret of mine? If I had 10 million to blow on athletics I would give it to the baseball team. Would any Bama fan do that? (I know MSU fans would)

JABA.

Our brand is crisis. Almost always self-inflicted.

Get used to seeing this gal in my posts this fall. I have a feeling I’ll be using this gif a lot this season
