We didn’t just lose that SECCG to UGA, we got blown-out.
To be fair, we were only down by 6 and had the ball and a 1st down at midfield when the 4th quarter started. KJ fumbled it away, UGa took advantage, and the rout was on. I wouldn't characterize it as a 'blowout' like, say, almost every other DSOR game since then.

Like RT said earlier, it was truly a perfect storm. Lame duck AD, idiot President, and powerful but clueless booster handling the negotiations against the GOAT agent, who played them like a Izchak Perlman on a Stradivarius.

The only bright spot is that, if we had let Gustav go home to Arky, I'm 100% convinced that Sexton would have stuck us with Chadwick instead of the Pigs.

Not even close. You get your info from the press and clueless Bammers. Redneck bs.

"In a lengthy interview from the ranch he still owns in Loachapoka, Bowden alleged that the “pay-for-play” system was orchestrated by powerful AU Board of Trustees member Bobby Lowder and carried out by former assistant coach Wayne Hall.

Bowden said the corruption extended to former head coach Pat Dye,

I guess Terry Bowden is "clueless", too!
Puppetman, I really don't think that your credibility could get any less. You're running neck-and-neck with Kim Jong-un!

Exactly, and KJ should not have been in the game. That was the start of Gus's downfall, because he showed he wasn't capable of making adjustments if injuries happened.

Again, the reason the PTB went along with the contract was to show the CF World that AU was willing to pay a coach. They did it for future coaching searches and a willingness to go after the top coaches with money. The problem happened when Gogue stepped in and gave the entire power to Greene. Harbert wanted Steele as a stop gap for a few years and then go after a top coach. Never got his chance, at least under Gogue. The new President is a lot different when it comes to athletics.

No shite. Even when you're wrong about everything. That's not an admirable characteristic. It just means you're a stubborn arse that can't admit when you're wrong, which happens to be always.

That's been pretty much a given for a couple of weeks, but I haven't seen anything official yet.

Let's put it this way - anyone other than TJ getting the start against Mercer would be a major shock. But he may not go into the game as the clear #1.

In other words: a recipe for disaster.

So tell me where have I been wrong. I love how the Bammers try and tell people what is happening in Auburn.

No dumbass, Bowden was a coach that got fired and resented how his affairs were exposed. The corruption that you call it was a system to pay players who did not have money. Dye set it up, but he learned from Bryant that he had to have plausible deniability in that system (just like Bryant). Wayne Hall wasn't the go to guy on the coaching staff in the system. And Bobby Lowder didn't involve himself in it. It was really nickel and dime type money compared to today. There were lower-level Boosters involved and it really wasn't a pay for play, it was based on need. You and reddog have tried to claim knowledge of the system, but when asked about known details, you are clueless. Keep it up.

Many believe it is only for game 1 and all three will get a chance for game 3. Finley has made great improvement according to those in the know. We will see.

"Bowden said he learned of the major NCAA infractions within days of being named Auburn ’s head coach, but kept quiet while trying to clean up the program from within.” I broke the rules,” Bowden said. “I told Wayne Hall to pay it off to the players we already had and it will never happen again."

So let's see....Bowden is now a liar, and Hall had no part of the money distribution at Auburn.
So what's this?

"I was the last to interview, then the committee immediately took a vote that day. Somebody was opposed to every candidate until they voted on me last. That’s how I got the job. Lowder said he wanted me to hire Wayne Hall as an assistant.

Tommy (Bowden, Terry’s brother and a member of the Pat Dye staff) told me that if you wanted anything done you gotta go through Hall. My second day on the job (athletic director Mike) Lude said “you can’t hire Hall.” But then I understand Lowder called and said that if I couldn’t hire Hall we will find a new president.

So I hired Wayne Hall. One week on the job, Hall came in with a ledger of players who have been paid, who paid the money, how much money and when it was paid. He said we’ve still got 9-12 players that we’re paying $600 per month."

....................................
So this is ALL lies, and YOU are telling the truth, huh?.....kinda like that list of potential head coaches you gave us, huh?

I'M even starting to get embarrassed for you, Puppetman!

Pat Dye and Wayne Hall just implemented the REC system. They knew first hand what Bama was doing and copied it to go head to head with them. Is this news to you?

Speaks volumes to Harsin & his staff that they've gotten Finley to this level. That kid has obviously worked his arse off.

Bowden is a liar and a cheating husband. Hall knew about everything, but wasn't directly involved. There is someone who was directly involved and you do not have a clue who it was. That is why I KEPT ASKING YOU AND REDDOG. You proved you were FOS.

There was no ledger of payments and it did not involve a scheduled payment. More FOS. Players would go to the POC and tell them what they needed and he would arrange it. Not Hall and not Lowder and it never involved recruiting. More FOS stuff from you that you get from the press. Bowden knew the Press would print whatever he said, but you see he states things that do not have to provide proof. It was "he said" or "I saw". But never "I have". The AU people know he was FOS and fishing and really laugh at him today.

That list has been proven correct, but people like you still read the Cult newsletter.

He has and Harsin is a good QB coach. Watch the difference in the pocket with Nix last year and compare it to him under Gus. Harsin just couldn't improve his accuracy and his need to leave the pocket. Finley had a strong arm but wasn't a running QB. We will see how much things have changed.

I hope he recognizes the truth. Finley wasn't at an SEC level, and it would require work for it to happen. Harsin doesn't have any sympatric loyalty with the QB (ie Gus), so if Finley wins the job, he has elevated his game.
