Has to have been awhile. They're an up and mostly down program, but usually throw in a good season every now and then when the planets align.

Probably in the 70s. Although Auburn has only had 3 losing seasons in a row because they aren't cowards like A&M.

The 2020’s have not been good for them that’s for sure. They have always been strong enough to give anyone a fight, especially at home, but they’ve had a rough last 4 seasons.

Haven't won more than 6 games since 2019 and haven't won a bowl since 2018.

Yet they had Bama by the nads and rushed 2 defensive lineman and forgot to cover 1 guy properly. Bad team but could bow up at times.

Uncomfortable truth is that the rule change allowing the defense to substitute crushed Auburn more than any other program. That loophole skyrocketed Gus & kept Auburn relevant for 7-8 years. Neither have recovered from losing it.

Yet still lost…

They did play much better in that rivalry game than many other times throughout the season. It’s pretty clear they overlooked New Mexico State and did some extra prep for Bama…

May be hard for you to comprehend, but most people can think about more than one thing, plus Bama's game was 2 days away.

This may be hard for you to grasp, but this is fan talk on a message board, which has exactly zero affect on the outcome of any game. You run out of things to talk about with 30 days between games. I can assure you the people that matter for Bama in the game- the players, coaches and staff - are focused on the game plan for Michigan, not AU’s streak of losing seasons. Hope this helps as you learn to navigate the world of fan message boards.

What about the Bowl game loss? Not a good look from Freeze.

Ive never heard a HC say he was too busy recruiting to game plan for a Bowl game.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think Auburn has had back to back 10 win seasons since 1988-89. Yet they have played for two championships since then. Very odd.

Had they prepped for NM St, instead of Bama they'd have a winning season.
