I guess you don't realize that Ta'amu started the last 5 games, threw for over 1,600 yards and 11 TDs.
Arkansas - 93rd ranked pass defense - (Ta'amu 368 yards)
Kentucky - 103rd ranked pass defense - (Ta'amu 382 yards)
ULL - 108th ranked pass defense - (Ta'amu 418 yards)
Texas A&M - 85th ranked pass defense - (Ta'amu 189 yards on 19/34 passing).
Miss State - 12th ranked pass defense - (Ta'amu 247 yards on 10/22 passing)
So basically he lit up some terrible pass defenses and even struggled against A&M's putrid defense. That big win against State was due to the Ole Miss defense forcing 5 turnovers. They were outgained by almost 150 yards

Yet, LSU would kill to have any of the QB's Ole Miss has had on its roster.

Was just about to post the same.
1168 out of 1604 (73%) yards against shite defense.

eh. Danny Etling put up equally impressive and in some instances better numbers against the poor pass defenses he faced and no one heralded him as anything better than mediocre. Ole Miss' offense, by design, will produce a lot of passing yardage. That doesn't mean every QB y'all throw back there is good. I mean we're talking about a JUCO transfer who only had offers from Ole Miss, Minnesota, Eastern Kentucky, New Mexico, and Southern Miss. But good for him stepping in there to finish out the season against the easiest part of Ole Miss' schedule.
But the funny part about all of this is the argument that he is better or as good as Shea Patterson, which is where all this discussion began.
