Dabo is a "Goober." You should do a little research into the Dubose years and Dabo was part of that. Do not want him.

I don’t think the youngin’s understand what Bama was like before Saban.

For those uninformed: Bama was continually held back by a strong good ole boy network that dated back to the Bear and insisted on having their fingers dabbling in the program. Only good ole boy coaches were hired to do things the good ole boy way. Dabo is very much part of that network.

He’d probably not want to go back to those ways, but I’d expect a bunch of rich gray hairs to perk their ears up if Dabo was hired.

What has Jimbo done without Jameis Winston...

Dabo is smarter than 98% of the people on here, don’t buy the “All shucks shite”
But he is a living legend at Clemson and has all he needs and they will give him whatever he wants if you guys come after him. He would be an idiot to leave, he will be in playoffs probably next four years.

The worst part is that your fanbase will split no matter who you hire. Post Saban you become like Hatfield’s and McCoys.

lemson is in the ACC. Who is the second best team in the ACC ?

What team in the SEC West other than Alabama has the talent to beat Clemson.....I don't see it.

the reason Alabama is basically lock to win SEC every year is there isn't much offense in the SEC.

Yes it will be nasty! Dabs is the second best coach in college football right now and he is doing it at Clemson so he may actually be better than Saban. I would hate to see what Dabo could do at Alabama.

Dabo isn’t leaving Clemson.

I'll say this. It might not mean a hill of beans, but I have played in a charity golf scramble now for 15 straight years in Tuscaloosa. It starts at $2500 a team and goes all the way up to $10000 team. Depending on what you pay, you are listed as a certain tiered donor. Platinum, gold, bronze, etc. I'm not the one that pays it(so this is not serving as a humble brag). Saban, Greg Byrne, and every one of the big time Alabama donors have teams in the tournament. It's a two day event with a dinner, tournament, silent auction, etc.. Dabo has been there and put a team in every year I've been there. He always hob knobs, and it's always obvious he knows who the big fish in the room are. Like I said, this may not mean shite, but to me it appears that Dabo is laying the groundwork.

It’s very possible that he doesn’t, but I would bet with a lot of certainty he will entertain an offer.

Name a better option if we were hiring today. There are very few active coaches with national championships. Not only that, Dabo has proven he can sustain success, and recruit. You hire Dabo, you guarantee another championship or two after Saban.

Dabo or No Dabo. It is very very hard to turn down Alabama. You are talking about people who are competitive by their very nature. A lot of fans think foot ball program is great. Usually those are programs that go 10 and 3 every season and have one national championship in the last 50 years. Alabama's legacy is in a very different place.

Luckily, we don’t make the hire, but Byrne does. Once that happens then things could potentially get bad. Going to be hard to get used to a new normal and manage fan expectations.

A lot of Alabama fans don't want Dabo!!!!!!!!! He's not the right fit for Alabama. There's a better coach out there. Jimbo Fisher is my pick for Alabama when Nick hangs it up. Jimbo is a better coach than Dabo. Without a "GREAT" QB Clemson and Dabo are average.

It takes a lot of effort to be this fricking stupid. I bet keeping Shula was your pick as well...

Jimbo hasn't won shite outside of Winston and he left Florida State in ruins. Meanwhile, Dabo has made the playoffs year in and out with 3 different quarterbacks. Jimbo will NEVER come within 10 spots of a playoff berth.

Name a better potential candidate out there than Dabo with a better resume and record against the likes of LSU/AU/UGA. I'll wait. You idiots will ultimately screw around and hire a McElwain who'll never even sniff a 9 win season while Dabo continues his dominance. It'll be similar to how you tards passed up Bobby Bowden for Ray Perkins. So keep telling yourself there's a better coach out there because Dabo will run circles around whatever clown you guys hire.

Don’t worry too much, beause we’ll hire Dabo. Thankfully the hiring process isn’t a fan vote. Just go back and read into it when he’s been asked about a potential Alabama job offer.
